It has been about a month since Kenzi and I got separated. Mark has been an amazing friend. I would call him my best friend, but I don't want to replace Kenzi. We have been growing closer, and Kai has noticed. Believe me, he won't stop annoying me. Camila took me and Kai back to school shopping. I got a black backpack with a black wolf on it, some black pencils, a black eraser, and other school supplies that are all black except the backpack and notebooks which have black wolves on them. Oh, and binders. Kenzi always bought bright and colorful stuff. My eyes glaze over. I sigh, I really have to stop crying. I HATE crying. At home, I call Twilight, another wolf that is good friends with Shadow. "Twilight!" I call. She immediately comes and he and Shadow start playing with each other.
"Me have new baby brother," Twilight told us
"Really! Bet he is really cute. What is his name?" I asked eagerly
"His name is Midnight,"
"Awww. Lucky you Twilight!"
"Thanks," she smiles, "Mommy calling me, bye-bye!"
"Bye!" Shadow and I say
Twilight goes and I see a tear in Shadow's eye. I know why. Her whole pack died from hunters.
"Hey, it's okay," I tell Shadow, hugging her, "I know how you feel. I hate that feeling."
"Sorry for reminding you," Shadow mumbled
"Don't be sorry!" I tell her, "The past is the past and the present... is the present."
"Luna! Kai! Dinner is ready!"
"Come on Shadow!" I say
"Okay!"
We go to the elevator and arrive at the dining room.
"Today we asked our chef to make something extra special since it is Kai's birthday!"
"Oh yeah! Kai, I did some shopping today and got you this!" I tell him
"Really? Thanks!" He opens the box and inside is a snow globe with Kai, Charlie, Shadow, and I in.
"I love it so much thank you thank you thank you!"
"No problem" I laughed
The meal was delicious. Kenzi would have loved this, but Kenzi and I are beyond reach from one another.
