Aru's POV

-a week later-

Kara and I fell asleep watching the movies last night again. That was fun. Thankfully we came back during summer so we don't have to go to school or anything.

Boo is trying to get Kara to do training with us. She doesn't want to though.

Ava thinks we all just come hang out at the museum and talk about things.

News flash: You are a thing my sister and I talk about a lot.

Kara and I noticed that Ava is really similar to me in many ways. We both did the same thing when we met Aiden, we always have our hair in a braid, and our personalities are nearly the same. Except I wouldn't undermine someone that I'm jealous of. I mean it's obvious she is.

Aiden and Brynne keep trying to attack me in training. It never works well for them though. How do they think I escaped the Sleeper? I learned to fight and fight well.

Brynne put a circle of fire around me while Mini just watched.

"This could cause smoke inhalation you know? We would be fighting the fire for oxygen and the fire would win. Then we would die!" Mini said from the corner of the room.

No way was I letting Brynne win this easily. I opened the Pandava mind link and screamed random words into Brynne's.

"Get out of my head!" she yelled back.

"LALALALALALALALALALALALALALA!" I screamed in the mind link.

She waved GoGo on accident and the fire went out.

I rolled my spear between my fingers and electricity crackled. I aimed Vajra towards Brynne and two lightning-shaped vines slithered up from the ground and wrapped around Brynne.

"How did you do that?" Boo asked.

"I have no idea," I said astonished. "I was just trying to make a net that would have electricity in it."

"Well that's extraordinary," Boo said as he pecked at the vine. He got sent back from a spark. "Wow."

"Let me out Aru!"

"I don't know how! I don't even know how I did it, Brynne!"

"Aru. Stop playing your mind games," Aiden said.

I twirled Vajra through my fingers again but then aimed it at Aiden. A vine came from the wall and wrapped around his mouth like duct tape.

"I like you a lot better when you are quiet," I said.

Aiden fought the vines but every time one would just shock him a little more.

I turned Vajra into a ping-pong ball and tossed it up into the air and caught it over and over.

"I remember when I thought you were just a worthless little ping-pong ball. I know you are more than that now."

Mini was still cradled in the corner.

Kara walked in and saw Brynne and Aiden.

"I see you inherited dad's gift of torture."

"Apparently I did."

My phone went off. It was a message from Aiden. I walked over to him and slapped him.

The vine unwrapped itself from his mouth but wrapped around his arms and legs so he was still pinned to the wall.

"What was that for?!"

"Making sure you weren't a hologram. How is your phone texting me if you're here?"
