Fighting The Devil (Part One)

Aru's POV

I woke up on the couch with Aiden's head on my lap and Mochi laying on my feet. Brynne, Mini, and Kara were all sitting at the dining room table.

"What time did you get up?" I whispered.

"We all got up 30 minutes ago," Mini whispered back.

"Did something in particular wake you guys up on a Saturday morning at 6:30?" I asked.

Brynne and Mini shared a look. "Well," Brynne said.

"What?" I moved Aiden's resting head off of me so I could stand up. I picked up Moe and walked to the table. A note was lying there, and Brynne covered it up. "Brynne, what is that?" I asked.

"It's a note from Ava," Mini blurted. Kara and Brynne's heads snapped in Mini's direction.

"We agreed we wouldn't tell her until tomorrow! She doesn't need this stress!" Brynne yelled.

I put a finger to my lips and pointed to Aiden. "I'm glad Mini told me. What does it say?" I pet Mochi as Brynne read the note.

"Meet me in the Otherworld today at noon. Mini can have her stupid powers back. I hope you guys are prepared for one of your hardest battles."

I snorted. "One of our hardest battles? Dang, someone thinks highly of themselves."

"This isn't a time to joke, Aru," Kara said.

"I wasn't joking. My two hardest battles were fighting my dad the last time and when I made the wish."

"You can step back, Aru. You don't need to be in this fight," Kara said.

"Kara is right, Shah. WIth Mini getting her powers, my wind mace, Kara, the twins, Rudy, and Aiden, I think you should be able to take a break," Brynne smiled.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better? That I'm not needed?" I asked, offended. Mochi got the memo that I was mad. She miaowed and stuck her tongue out at Brynne.

"That's not what I meant, and you know it," Brynne growled.

"I can never tell what you actually mean!" I yelled. Aiden yawned, which meant I had woken him up. "I'm going and I'm helping with whatever planning there is," I said, going up to my room.

I placed Mochi on my bed as I picked out my outfit. I chose a hoodie and jeans. Classic one.

Mochi kept trying to eat my bed. She is one weird cat.

-Time skip to 11:30-

"I think we flat out give her everything about ourselves. Then she can't use it against us because we told her it out in the open," I said.

"That's not a bad idea," Mini agreed.

"I have things I don't want people knowing about me, though," Brynne said, looking down at her feet.

"Then make it seem like you have no secrets," I smiled.

Aiden walked downstairs in his normal hoodie and jeans. I looked at him, and he smiled. He walked over to one of the statues to take pictures. My eyes were completely locked on him.

"You can stop staring, Shah," Aiden called. My head snapped back in Brynne's direction.

"Who said I was staring?"

"I can see your reflection in the glass. By the way, you look good in my hoodie," he said, continuing to take pictures.

"That's Aiden's hoodie?!" Kara gasped. "OoooOooo," she cooed.
