Aru's POV
-Time Skip back to the museum (Sponsered by my brain that doesn't want to work)-
I ran back to Denver's. Mochi must've been there already for a day. I forgot how time goes faster over in the Otherworld. I knocked on the door, and almost immediately, Denver answered.
"Your cat is wild," he panted. "I have been chasing her around the house all night."
"We're talking about Mochi? She is one of the calmest cats," I said.
"Maybe for you! She won't stop getting into stuff," he said, crossing his arms. "You have to help me."
"I mean, I don't have to, but I want my cat back, so I will." He opened the door more, and I walked in. His house was so nice. You walk in, and you see the huge living room, the neat dining room, and the kitchen. Brynne would love to cook in there. That's off the point.
"Moe, come 'ere!" I called. I heard little paws scamper around then come running towards me. "Hi, Mochi! Were you a good kitten?"
She purred, and I took that as a yes. "Liar," Denver whispered as he rolled his eyes. "We should hand out at your place," he said.
"Kara can take Moe," I said.
He looked at my outfit. Sadly, I was still in my pajamas.
"If I'm going to hang with you, you need to change your outfit."
"I-but-these are-fine," I gave in. "Meet me outside the museum in 30 minutes. Also, don't take offense if no one remembers you. They all have, um, concussions," I lied.
"Ok?" I picked up Moe and walked outside. Kara was lying on the porch with her hands covering her eyes.
"Let's go, Kara. By the way, I will have to borrow one of your shirts," I said as I handed her Mochi.
"Wha-" Kara started. If she said anything else, I didn't hear. I was already running down the street.
-In their room-
I rummaged through Kara's dressers, trying to find a top. I finally found a white t-shirt that was a tiny bit cropped, but I didn't have any clean white shirts, so this would have to do. Then I threw on a black and white plaid button-front.
My hair had been in the same braid for five days. I decided to put my hair down for the day. It was wavy and fizzy. Kara came in, saw my hair, and threw my brush.
"Take care of that lion's mane!" she said, shielding her eyes. "I have to go. I cannot see that."
"You sound like Nikita!" I yelled down the hall as she left.
I heard swords clanging down the hall and decided to look to see what was happening. I looked into the backyard to see Brynne and Aiden with Ava. Ugh, her. I walked out and leaned against the door frame.
"You look good, Shah," Brynne said.
I ignored Brynne. "What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"Ava still thinks that she may be the reincarnation of Arjuna. We are testing her to see," Aiden stopped.
"I have to put this out there. One, Mini was there when I was claimed, so back off rodent," I said, looking at Ava.
"Shah, that wasn't-" Aiden started. I healed up a hand to silence him.
"Did I say you could talk? No, I don't think I did. Anyway, next thing. Two, just because someone may be the reincarnation of some god doesn't mean they inherit any of the qualities. I'm freaking Arjuna, and I'm not a huge warrior myself."
