I walked swiftly down the hall way towards Susan and I's cabin. Me- a prize in some sexist game where the girl is the trophy. How dare they!
I shoved the door open causing Susan and Lucy both to jump. "Did you know?"
"Know what?" Susan asked slowly, rising to her feet calmly.
"That your idiotic brother and Caspian are in some competition for me?"
Her eyes widened to the size of saucers and I instantly regretted asking as I watched her sink down onto the bed. "No. I wasn't aware of that."
I watched her shoulders slump forward and I let a huge sigh. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"
"No! You did nothing wrong. It's perfectly fine." She replied quietly.
"I'll just give you- some space." I smiled awkwardly, slipping out of the room quickly. " What an idiot." i exclaimed as I smacked myself on my forehead with the palm of my hand.
"Are you okay?" Lucy's soft, sweet voice rang out from behind me.
"I- yes. I'm fine." I shrugged nonchalantly as I made my way back down the hall.
"You shouldn't be mad, you know. Caspian began expressing his- feelings towards you to some of the maids and Peter heard about it. He was only trying to make sure you didn't slip away. Peter really does love you, he just had a tendency to go to extremes for the things that he sees as his."
I nodded at her. "Your right, but he's still an idiot. I'm obviously not going anywhere."
Lucy laughed lightly, wrapping her arm around my waste. "Yes, he is an idiot, but he's your idiot."
I smiled, hugging her back. I glanced out at the orangish glow on the water where the sun met the ocean and sighed. "I would give anything to see my idiot right now."
