I sighed as I leaned my head against the cool railing that surrounded the deck of the Dawn Treader. The waves rose and fell at a constant pace, spraying salt water up on my cheeks. I felt someone sit beside me, but I decided to wait for them to speak first.

"What are you thinking about?" Edmund asked as he squinted up at the sun.

"How are we suppose to find him if we don't have any idea where they were going?"

He smiled lightly as I turned my body to face his. "Well, they're pirates which means they live on the sea." I nodded eagerly for him to continue. "We have a few Griffins searching the waters for them, and one of the centaurs said a few mermaids owe him a favor, so that's good. We will find him."

I smiled and squeezed his hand. "Where's Susan?"

"Trying to find Lucy something to wear thats A little more- fitting under these circumstances."

I nodded before snapping my head towards him. "Lucy's here! How did she-"

"She's our stow-away." He rolled his eyes. "I swear, that girl doesn't know how to do as she's told. If Peter were here he'd have been able to make her stay."

"You're right. He always did have quite a way with words when it came to persuading people- or to anything."

Edmund smiled sadly at me and rose to his feet. "Come on. You should change as well."

I nodded and accept his hand, bracing myself on the railing as i steadied myself due to the slight rocking. "Part of me is shocked that Caspian didn't join us."

Edmund scoffed. "Probably for the best."

"Why would you say that?" I frowned, tugging him around to face me.

"Because- lets just say him and Peter have entered some what of a competition over the last few months and neither are willing to give up the prize."

"And the prize would be?" I tapped my foot at him.

He paused for a moment before laughing slightly. "You."
