I must have heard 'congratulations your majesty' a thousand times before I had even seen Peter. Two seconds after we kissed we were immediately pulled away from each other by people wanting to hug and congratulate.

I smiled and excused myself from a group of badgers and began searching the room for my husband. My husband, that's going to take some getting use to. I spotted Edmund easily and hurried over to him, excusing myself as I pushed through the crowds.

"Mags!" He exclaimed as I placed a hand on his shoulder. He pulled me into a tight hug, smiling at me as we parted.

"Have you seen your brother? I can't find him anywhere." I laughed.

"Lost him already, have you?" He winked. "He's over there with Aslan." He pointed past me to the right of the room near the balcony.

"Thank you." I sighed as I made my way over to them. Upon seeing me approaching Aslan nodded and said something to Peter that I couldn't make out before leaving us alone.

I accepted his outstretched arm and we walked over to the edge of the balcony over looking the ocean. The sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow out across the water where the two met. The wind lightly blew my hair into my face and I reached up to push it away, but Peters hand was there before mine was.

I turned around in his arms to face him with my back against the railing. He brushed my hair behind my ear and let his hand linger there as I smiled lightly, reaching up and straightening his jacket before resting my hands on his chest. "Hi."

"Hi." He replied, placing a kiss on my forehead, both my cheeks, and a quick one on my lips before assaulting every inch of my face in playful pecks.

I giggled, pushing him gently as he did so. Once he had pulled back his gaze immediately changed and suddenly we weren't smiling anymore. "I love you." He said seriously, never breaking eye contact. "More than anything. You know that, right?"

"Well," I shrugged. "I did assume for a while there that the wedding was all for show, but then I realized no one aside from you would be stupid enough to be with me for longer than-"

His lips roughly pushing against mine cut me off mid sentence. He gripped my face tighter than he ever had before as our lips molded together. I wrapped my arms around his neck as his arms encased my waist. We stumbled back a bit as I let myself fall into him, knowing that he would catch me.

I played with the hair at the back of his neck gently, twirling my fingers through it as his pressed into my lower back. He held me to his chest as we kissed as though he was afraid to let go, like this would be the last time we ever got the chance to be this close. Minutes, hours, even days could've passed and neither of us would have even been aware of it.

We were so wrapped up in our blissful moment that we almost didn't hear the gasps and cries of our guests ringing out along with the sound of glass shattering- almost.

"The Queen!" Someone shouted causing us to spin around and hurry back into the room. "Someone do something!" Another voice called.

"What's happened?" Peter called to the nearest centaur.

"Queen Susan has collapsed!"
