The cool breeze crashed against my body as Susan and I flung the front door to the castle open. I gasped, not expecting the sharp sting that came with the new, sudden, ice cold rain drops, and staggered back. Susan pressed her palm against the middle of my back to steady me and nodded, signaling for me to go forward.

I dashed down the stairs, straight into the rain and fog, and headed towards the ships as fast as I could. The wind pressed against me, willing me to go back, but I pushed forward.

He ran around blindly for a while, searching for any sign of Edmund. My eyes scanned over every inch of the ground in front of me before reaching the tree tops. A few feet ahead of us the ground dipped down into a series of rolling hills leading down the harbor.

Susan pointed suddenly, tugging roughly on my shoulder. "Look!" She cried over the roar of the wind, gesturing down one of the hills at the stream of white and yellow light that was waving around wildly- Edmunds torch.

We dashed towards it as fast as we possibly could in this weather. Halfway down the hill Susan passed me and reached for my arm, but just narrowly missed as I crashed into the ground, stumbling through a deep hole.

I saw her mouth move, but couldn't hear what she had said. I just nodded quickly and pulled myself back up on my feet, nudging her. We held hands as we ran the rest of the way to the harbor.

The wooden walk way came into view as well as it could in the fog, and I'd never been more happy to see solid ground before. We climbed up carefully and made our way to Edmund who was climbing onto the large, miraculous ship in front of us.

"Welcome aboard the Dawn Treader!" He shouted, hoisting Susan up, then me.

I gladly excepted his hand and pulled him into a hug. "Sorry about earlier."

He nodded and exclaimed. "Well, if I weren't holding you back, I would've reacted the same way. I mean, we did just watch my brother get taken."

I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat and tried to smile lightly at him, knowing that he hadn't meant to bring it back up.

He glanced down at his feet once more before waving at a Minetar that was up on the top deck. "Lets get in the cabins and dry off."

Susan and I followed quickly, but I stopped just as I reached the door. I glanced around at all the crew members and creatures of Narnia that Edmund had gathered so quickly.

Just the thought of rescuing their High King brought quite a few running.
I smiled at that thought. This is it. We're going to get him back.
