I pulled the tie on my breeches and stared at myself in the mirror. 'How am I suppose to do this? Peter- my strength- is gone. How am I suppose to get through this without my strength?'

Two soft knocks rang out, snapping me out of my daze. I quickly dashed towards my bedroom door and flung it open. "Caspian?"

He smiled slowly, inviting himself in. "How are you doing?"

"I'm- managing. What can I do for you?" I frowned as he leisurely walked around my room, occasionally inspecting a trinket or statue, rolling it around in his hand.

He placed the small statue down and turned to face me, allowing his eyes to cascade down my frame. "New wardrobe choice?" I glanced down as well, shifting my weight to the left side. "Going somewhere?"

"Maybe. What's it to you?"

He held up both hands in surrender, raising his eyebrows, a smirk playing on his lips. "I suppose it's not. I just-" He paused, walking forward until he was directly in front of me. "I don't want you to do anything reckless. I care a lot about you."

I glanced down at my feet before looking back up, clearing my throat. "I- uh- care about you too?"

He reached up slowly, brushing a loose piece of hair out of my eyes. I stepped back in a jerking manor. "W-what are you doing?"

He stepped forward again, cupping my cheek this time. "Taking your mind off of the- uh- situation at hand."

Before he could get any closer, my hand crashed down on his cheek. "Are you serious! The second Peters gone you think you can- how dare you? How dare you!"

He staggered back, a shock expression etched upon his face. "Maggie!"

"Don't!" I waved my hand as I hurried out the room, crashing into someone as I turned to the right. "Sorry."

"Are you alright?"

I looked up upon hearing Susan's voice. She grasped my arms and peered at me carefully. "Well?"

I nodded. "Susan, I swear I-"

She shooshed me, wrapping her arm my shoulders. "I know. I saw everything." She guided me down the hall quickly.

"Where are we going?" I frowned, rubbing my hand across my reddened face as we went.

"The ship was spotted recently and if I not mistaken, you and Edmund were planning on going after them tonight."

I gaped at her like a fish out of water, my eyes the size of saucers. "I- how did you find out?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm going with you."
