Year 6: Avada Kedavra

Y/N's Pov

The past two days have been a pain.
Draco was in the Hospital Wing and I was left alone to fix the Vanishing Cabinet. (with detentions in between)

I would go see him when I was done for the day.

Draco and I were eating Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.

I take a yellow bean and Draco takes a brown bean.

"On the count of three." I say to him and he nods as he holds the bean in between his index finger and thumb.

"3,2,1." We say together and we chew our jelly beans.

I cough and spit it out in the trash.

"I definitely got booger." I say as I take a sip of pumpkin juice.
Draco laughs.
"I think I got cinnamon." He pauses as he continues to chew it.

He gags and brings the garbage can to him as he spits out the bean.

"I got dirt." He croaked as he wipes his mouth with his hand.
He gestured for my pumpkin juice.
I handed it to him as I laughed.

Draco takes a sip of my pumpkin juice as I take a bite of my chocolate frog.

Just then, the doors of the Hospital Wing opened.

Draco and I look over to the entrance.
It was quiet for a moment.
Then, I heard a faint owl screech and o/n came flying in with a letter in her beak.

She stopped on the bed and dropped the letter.
I petted her as she gave out a hoot.

I take the letter and open it.
I heard another hoot and I glanced up to see Draco petting o/n.

"Wow, she grew fond of you." I observed as I looked back at the letter and start to read.
"Who doesn't?" Draco jokily scoffed.

The mood changed in an instant as I read the last sentence of the letter.

"It's my mother." I murmured.

"What did she say?" Draco asked in curiosity.

I hand him the letter for him to read.

"Dear y/n,
We are running out of time and the Dark Lord is getting impatient.
We are sending death eaters through the vanishing cabinet whether it is fixed or not.
They are to arrive at dusk.
Make your father and I proud.
Kill Albus Dumbledore once and for all."

"Is the Vanishing Cabinet fixed?" Draco asks right away.

I slapped him on the arm and whispered, "Lower your voice!"

"Yeah, it's fixed." I answered his question.
I grab the letter from Draco and take out a quil from my bag.
"I'll send this letter back to assure them that the Cabinet is fixed." I say as I write down "The vanishing cabinet is fixed," on the back of the letter.

I fold it and put it into an envelope.
"Here, o/n. Take it straight to my parents. Nobody else." I commanded as I put the letter in her beak.
She hooted and flew off.

Once she was gone, I turned to look at Draco.
I was in somewhat a shock.
It's happening. It's happening tonight.
We are facing Dumbledore tonight.

"Let's meet in the Room Of Requirement at 10 minutes before dusk." Draco demanded.
I give him a nod as he leans in for a kiss.
"I'll see you later, love you." I said as I accepted the kiss.
"bye, darling."

it was 15 before dusk,
the sun was leaving and the moon was settling in.
Dark clouds began to come our way which would later compliment the moon.
