Year 2: Flourish and Blotts

Summer had soon passed.
I was outside on my mother's broomstick.
I decided that I would join the quidditch team this year.
The idea of going against Potter had me motivated.
All summer I would practice playing quidditch with my dad or my mum, or sometimes even Draco.

"Sweetie! Your hogwarts letter has arrived!" My mum yelled from the patio.

I caught her eye and flew down.
I jumped off my broom and looked at the letter.
It was supplies for the 2nd year.

"Go get changed. We're meeting your father at Diagon Alley." my mother hurried.

"Okay." I said as I ran inside and took off my robe.

I changed into a beige cashmere sweater and wore my slytherin robe on top.

I go down and see my mum waiting.

"Let's go, sweetheart." She says as she grabs my hand and we apparated.

We made it to diagon alley and we were quickly rushed into the crowd as we made our way to the bookstore.

There was a very long line.
It was Gilderoy Lockhart.
A menace if im being honest.

He was always swooned by the girls, but me, I didn't see anything good about him.

"Mum, can I get this book called 'When The Time Comes'? Its just been released and I want to read it." I begged my mum.
"Alright dear. But only that one. No more." She demanded.
I nod and went upstairs.

It was a lot less crowded and I could see everything from up here.
I took my glance away and looked for the book.

I couldn't find it.

"Boo!"

I jumped as I turned my head to face my scarer.

It was Draco.
I slapped him on the arm and said, "Don't do that, you arsehole."

He laughed as I turned my attention back to finding the book.

"What are you looking for?" He asked.

"A book called 'When The Time Comes'." I answered as I continued looking.

He turned his glance over to the books.

"Look, here it is." He exclaimed as he took out the book.
He handed it to me.

"How did you find it so quickly?" I asked in shock as I grab the book.

"I have a specialty for this kind of stuff." He said in his cocky voice.

I chuckled.

"I didn't know you were into books." Draco observed.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that." I chuckled as I flashed him a smile.

"Ladies and Gentlemen what an extraordinary moment this is." I heard Lockhart start.

Draco and I looked at each other.
We headed to the barricade and looked down.

"When young Harry stepped into Flourish and Blotts this morning to purchase my autobiography, Magical Me,"

There he was, Harry Potter.
"Of course. He always gets all the attention no matter where he is." Draco scolded as I nodded in agreement.

"which, incidentally, is currently celebrating its 27th week atop the Daily Prophet Bestseller List."

The crowd clapped.

"he had no idea that he would, in fact, be leaving with my entire collected works. Free of charge." Lockhart finishes.

We move away from the barricade and start heading down.
