Year 6

Y/N POV

"Honey, I know this is difficult for you to take in." My mother knelt so she was at my height.

"But think about it. It's for the sake of our family." My mother told me as she tried catching my eyes.

I was sitting on a chair with my head facing down after the news I have just heard.

"Y/n. Your mother is right. This is an opportunity to show the Dark Lord that we mean no harm." My father advised.

I did not expect to come home and make a big decision that will change my life.
My mother gets up and joins my father who was standing over me.
I could feel their eyes staring at me, observing me.
I felt my leg start to bounce.
I take a deep breath.

My eyes look up to face my parents.

"Okay. I'll do it." I told them as I looked them in the eyes.

"I'll become a Death Eater"

My parents let go of the breath they were holding in and gave me a hug.

"We'll get out of this. Sooner or later." My mother whispered in my ear.

Once I was able to be free from my parents, I walk up to my room and lock myself in there.

I grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.

I just couldn't believe it.
I said yes to working for the Dark Lord.
Then Draco came into my mind.
I have got to tell him.

I grab parchment paper and my quill and start writing away.
o/n hoots with curiosity as she looks at me writing like crazy.

Once I finish, I put it in a envelope and I put it in o/n's beak.
She flew away.

I put my head down on my desk and my mind is filled with thoughts.

Am I gonna have to kill people?
Kill Muggles?
Destroy things?
Rob things?
Use forbidden magic?

All I know I need to do is obey the Dark Lord.

o/n hoots and I look up to see her with a letter in her beak.

I take it and I rip it open.
I read the letter with anticipation.

I'm becoming a Death Eater too.
I'll see you at the initiation. I can't believe it.

His hand writing was messy. He probably wrote in a rush.
I sigh.
I don't know how I'm feeling.
I need to sleep on it.

.         The Next Day         .

"Sweetie, wake up. The Initiation is today." I heard my mothers sweet voice say.

I groggily groan and get up.

I ate the breakfast the elves made and changed into black clothing.

The Initiation.
That'll make me an official Death Eater.
Draco will be there too.
I wonder how he's feeling.

My parents and I apparated from our mansion and we arrived at Draco's mansion.
Hmm. Is this where the Initiation is?

We walk in and it was filled with death eaters.
They were all big. And scary.

My parents took me to a separate room.
"Here's your things. Hurry up and put it on." My mother hurried as she hands me a pile of things.

It was a dress, accessories and shoes.

I put them on and I observed myself in the mirror.

I look different.

I feel different.

I gently touch my left long sleeve as I roll it up.
The last time I'll see this forearm empty.

I take a deep breath and walk to the door.
As I went to touch the doorknob I stopped.

Am I sure I want to do this?
I can still back out if I want to.

Ugh, no.
What am I talking about?
Of course, I'm doing this.
I'm gonna do this.

I grab the doorknob and turn it.
The pull the door open and my parents were there.

"Let's go, honey." My mother guides me down a hallway into a room.

Inside was a long black table and the room was dim.

I saw Draco with his mother on the other side of the table.

I was able to catch his eye and but he quickly looked away.

I also saw Bellatrix, Draco's aunt, at the table.
She escaped Azkaban as well many others in this room did.
My parents and I take our seats at the table.

The whole room went silent when a long, dark green, snake slid across the table as it hissed.

Then a tall hooded figure walks into the room.

It was him.

The Dark Lord.

"Good Morning." the Dark Lord greeted in his raspy voice.

"I have word, we are introducing two new death eaters." He continued.
"Y/N L/N." He says my name.
I look up and I felt all eyes on me.
"Come." He called.

I stood up and I walked towards the Dark Lord. He was intimidating.
I stood my ground right next to him.

He looked at me with that stare of his.

"Draco Malfoy. Come." the Dark Lord called as he looks around for him.

Draco stands up and he walks up to the Dark Lord and I.

"As Death Eaters who are expected to be loyal to me and only me. Shall you betray me, I will have no choice but to kill you." the Dark Lord explained.

I gulped.
What the hell have I gotten myself into?

He gestured for us to roll up our left sleeve.

It's happening.

He grabs it our forearms.
His hands were cold and clammy.
It sent goosebumps up my arm.

He pushes his dirty nail into my forearm as he glides it down.
I wince at the pain.
I began to bleed.
Draco did too.
He then sends a tingle to my forearm and the dark mark begins to form.

It stung for a bit but the pain was immediately gone.

As he let go, the dark mark was fully on my skin.

I put my arm down.

"Now, your first task. One simple task." He says apathetically.

Kill Albus Dumbledore
