Year 6: I Promise

Draco and I were on the train ride home for the holidays, or mostly for further instructions on our mission.
"You think people can hear us? From in and out of here?" I whispered to Draco who was looking out the window.
"I don't think so, but I wouldn't risk it." He says as he continues to stare out of the window.

The rest of the way home, was silent.
I could tell there was a lot on his mind.
One thing is that we have to face our parents when we have not completed our mission at hand and I was not looking forward to that.

Malfoy Manor

The elves opened the front door of Draco's mansion and we walked in.
"Mr. Malfoy, Miss. L/N. Great to see you again." The elf greeted and I just nodded back.

Draco and I walked into the backroom.
My mother and father were there. So was Draco's mother.
It was quiet.
So quiet in fact, you could hear the slow footsteps coming closer to us.

"L/N. Malfoy." the raspy voice called.
I turn to look and it was the Dark Lord.
He was here.
No. Not now please.

"Come." He gestured as he walked towards the room where we had the initiation.
His hand were thin, gray and long. His robe would bounce every time his big, gray feet took a step.

We followed him.
Draco looked at me with concern in his eyes.
I did too as I let out a deep breath.
The Death Eaters inside the room left very quickly.

"My question that I have to you.
Why is Dumbledore still alive?" the Dark Lord roughly asked as he petted Nagini as she slithered.

I swallowed hard before I spoke.
"It is taking a bit longer to complete this task." I say as formal as possible.

"Interesting." The Dark Lord hissed as Nagini slithered down the table and around my feet.
She continued heading to Draco.

Nagini slithers up Draco's body as she hisses.

I felt a little on edge. I don't know what was going to happen.
"Next time I see your pathetic faces, Dumbledore will be dead." He began and I heard Nagini hissed at Draco's face.

"If he is not dead, I'll make you watch your loved ones die and I will make you suffer until you are dead." The Dark Lord threatened.
"Here's a little motivation." The Dark Lord began as he took his wand out.

"Crucio!"

My head was filled with loud sounds and my body was in pain.
I felt myself scream.
I fell to the floor as I tried to catch my breath.
"NO, STOP!" I heard someone yell.
My mind was completely taken over and I couldn't stop screaming.
My body was burning with pain.

Suddenly it stopped.
I was on the floor, completely helpless. My vision was blurred. I was sweating. I was tired. My breath was gone.

I look at Draco and it looked like Nagini was still around him. "That should be enough." I heard the dark lord carelessly say and he vanished.
I saw an image of Nagini slither off of Draco and into a nearby vent.

"Y/N! Y/N! Are you okay?" Draco sorta yelled as he picked my head up and held me close.

"I think I'm fine." I groaned.

But really I was scared
lost,
intimidated.

My vision was even more blurry.
I felt nauseous.
My mind was spinning.

Then.

it went dark.

I awoke the next day in Draco's bed. I was alone and my head was pounding.
