Year 5: I Lost It

I open my eyes to a bright new day.
O/N was still asleep.
I get up and I head downstairs to eat.
Every Christmas week, my family stay in our pjs the whole day, everyday, until Christmas.

Everyone was down there even my Aunt Sherry, James and Jackson.
The elves were already serving breakfast to the crowded table.
"Morning, honey! Come eat." My mum called out as I walked over to sit next to her.
"Morning everyone." I greet as I sit on the edge of the table.
"Morning." They all greeted.
I began to eat as well everyone else did.
"Mum. Would you mind if I can go to Draco's house to drop his present off? I forgot to give it to him on the train." I ask my mother next to me.

"Well yes, if thats okay with your father." She gestures to him. "It's fine by me, but don't be long. They said there was gonna be a snowstorm later on today." He says as he takes a sip of his tea.
"Okay," I said before taking a bite of my waffles.

"Draco? Who's that?" Aunt Sherry asks as she takes a sip of her orange juice.
"He's uh-" I felt a little embarrassed to say "boyfriend" because it sounded so childish.
"He's my boyfriend." I finally say.
"Oh wow. For how long?"
"Almost two years." I answer my Aunt Sherry.
"He's such a nice boy and a gentleman as well." My mum chimed in.
Guess my mum doesn't know that much about him then.
"How did you two meet?" Jackson asked.
"My dad and his dad introduced us to each other before our first school year. Since we go to the same school, we got to know each other and it went on from there."
"That's good for you y/n." Aunt Sherry says with a smile.
I finished eating my breakfast and I get out of my chair.
"I'm gonna go get ready." I tell them.
They nodded and I headed up to my room.

I open my trunk and rummage through it to find the present.
I finally found it.
I took out some wrapping paper and swished my wand.
Quickly, it was beautiful wrapped.
I place a bow on it and leave it on top of my drawer.

I change out of my pjs into black jeans and a brown shirt.
I combed my hair and put on my shoes.

"I'll be back o/n. Unless you want to come with me." I offered as I put on my jacket.
O/N gives out a hoot and flies out of the window.
I grab the present and tuck it into my jacket pocket
I go downstairs and give my mother and father a kiss on the cheek.
"Don't be long, y/n!" my father advises as I head to the door. "Be careful!" my mother shouts and I close the door.

It was already snowing. The driveway had a thin layer of snow so I was careful how I stepped.
As I left my driveway it wasn't as slippery anymore.
o/n was flying above me.
I wonder what Draco got me.
O/N flew close to my head to snap me out of my trance. "O/N!" I jokily groan and she gives out a hoot.

Not long after I was in front of the gate of his house. o/n lands on a post and stays there.
I pet her before the gates open and I walk the long driveway to his mansion.

I knock on the door and an elf appeared. "Ah Ms. L/N. Come in." I walk inside the mansion and the elf directs me to the kitchen where Mr and Mrs Malfoy were finishing eating. "y/n! Good morning." Mrs. Malfoy said as she got up to give me a hug.

"Morning y/n. What bring you here this early?" Mr. Malfoy asks as he sticks out his hand for me to shake. "Just came to give Draco his Christmas present." I answered as I shake his hand. "He's upstairs in his room, you can go hand it to him." Mrs. Malfoy says. I mouth the word okay with a smile. "It's nice to see you dear!" She says as I head upstairs to Draco's room.

I knock on the slightly open door and Draco was on his bed watching television. He turns to me and gets up in a rush. "Hi love!" He say as he pulls me into a tight hug. "Hey darling." I say into his shoulder. He lets go and gives me a long kiss.
"Here's your present, I forgot to give you." I say handing him the present.
