Year 3: Slumber Party

"Open mine next, y/n!" Olivia urged me.

I sat in the middle of the couch with one opened and two unopened gift on the table in front of me. "Alright, alright." I say as I grab the small box that had Olivia's name written on it in big black ink. 

She sat excitedly next to Daisy. I rip the wrapping paper off and open the top of the black box and revealed another silver charm. 

"Aww another charm. It's so cute. Thank you, but guys I don't have a matching bracelet to put these on." I say as I admire the charm that had three girls hugging. 

"We know. Crabbe and Goyle were supposed to get it." Daisy shot daggers at them who sat across from me. They looked away. "You had one job." Draco rolled his eyes as he slouched next to me.

"They are still cute. Olivia got me one that signifies friendship. It's us hugging." I smiled. "And the broomstick charm is for..."

"For your dedication to Quidditch. I know it's one of the things you love the most." Daisy interrupted and smiled.

"I love them." I say as I put the friendship charm back into its box. "If I'm not mistaken this last one must be from Draco." I say grabbing the small box as I looked at him. He smiled and nodded as he sat up.

I rip the wrapping paper off and open the top of the black box once more. Inside was a silver swan charm. "Oh a swan!" I acknowledge as I take it out to show everyone. The girls awed. "But what does it mean?" Daisy asked. "Yeah. Other than being so cute." I say before we all look at Draco for a response.

"It's the symbol for beauty. Well kind of. Swans represent inner beauty, grace, and elegance. So I thought I'd get it for y/n because it's her. So, happy birthday." Draco explained.

We all look at him sort of surprised.

"What? I read it in a book, pssh." He slouched back into the couch. "I'm just surprised those words came out of your mouth." Olivia mentioned. "And I'm supposed to be the emotional one."

"Regardless, I love it, thank you. Now all I need is that bracelet to put these on. Either way this was the best birthday yet!" We all laughed.

.___Time passes___.

I kiss my parents goodbye before going inside the Hogwarts Express. I find Daisy and Olivia in a compartment. I sat down with o/n began talking about the strange occurrence that happened to Sirius Black. He had escaped Azkaban and was wanted all over the wizarding world.

"My father says the Ministry doesn't know how Sirius escaped. It's heavily guarded with those terrifying dementors." I explained.

"Those soul-sucking creatures." Olivia said with disgust in her voice.
"I heard that's worse than actually being killed." Daisy chimed in.

The train suddenly rattled and started to go. We look out the window as the train left the station.

After a while, the trolley witch passed by and we bought some candy.

"I got pumpkin juice!" Olivia exclaimed as she chewed the orange bean. We laughed.

The train rattled and then came to a complete stop.

"What's going on?" I say with fear.

The lights go out and we yelp.

Daisy opens the compartment door to see what's happening.
The train rattles again and she quickly shuts the door.

"Did you see anything?" Olivia asked.
Daisy shook her head.

The train rattled again which made me give out a small scream.
The air turned cold and the window began to fog up. "Is anyone else suddenly cold?" I ask. They all nod and cross their arms for warmth.
