"Have you seen Haven?" Harry asked Hannah Abbott when he didn't spot his favourite Hufflepuff in the common room.
Still being shaken up from the Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson about the aftermath of particular spells, Harry felt the urge to throw something and watch it splinter to pieces. Alex was very careful when mentioning the Killing Curse and the way he talked about it did more damage control than Harry thought it did. If Alex wasn't so gentle on the subject Harry was sure he would have stormed out of that class within the first ten minutes, but he managed to stay and keep himself together throughout the entire day worth of lessons.
Haven seemed fine as well. They had a nice little chat about Alex' lesson during Herbology and she talked about as casually as she talked about everything that could be perceived as sensitive.
But now, when Harry was looking for her in the common room, she was nowhere to be found. Harry had a creeping suspicion that it might actually have something to do with the Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson but until he found her, he couldn't be sure.
"She left the common room a while ago," Hannah said, a pitiful look washing over her face. "I think she had a row with Malfoy but I'm not sure. She ran past me on my way in,"
Hannah left Harry to join Neville sitting at one of the tables, making his homework.
Harry leapt around to scan over the common room. Malfoy had to be somewhere and the stingy little ferret was going to tell Harry exactly what happened. At last, Harry found him sitting by the fire with his Slytherin pals. He wasn't talking to them, he just stared at the fire with an angry frown on his face.
"Oi, Malfoy!" Harry yelled and with a couple of big steps, he was right beside Malfoy's armchair.
More people turned their heads to see why Harry was shouting for Draco Malfoy.
Malfoy looked up with a bored and irritated expression. "What do you want, Potter?"
"What happened with Haven? Where did she go?" Harry instantly questioned him with gritted teeth. A wave of anger for Malfoy was already boiling inside of him.
"Why do you think I had anything to do with it?" Malfoy asked him with a roll of his eyes.
The two boys could feel the eyes of the others in the eighth-years common room upon them. Hermione may have been right about the fact that putting all the eighth years together wasn't the best idea the school ever had.
"I know you had," Harry said lowly. His fists were slowly forming into a ball. "Tell me, Malfoy,"
"She bumped into me, you know," Malfoy immediately defended himself. His pale, slender fingers reached up to a spot right above his right eyebrow. Harry spotted a thin red line. "I told her not to bump into me and then she started to call me names. She ended up throwing that stupid Order of Merlin medal at my head. Bloody lunatic,"
Harry's mind was racing. Haven would probably have gone to the Room of Requirement or the Astronomy Tower if she wasn't here. She must be mad with anger and that couldn't mean anything good if she didn't have anything or anyone to control herself.
"It was her blood-traitor mother's medal," Malfoy continued, making Harry snap his attention back to the blond in front of him. "Told her to keep anything from mudblood father or blood-traitor mother away from me,"
Harry's chest started to heave from his anger with Malfoy and panic for Haven's well-being.
"Fuck," Harry swore loudly, going through his hair with his hand. "You bloody wanker, are you mad?"
Harry didn't have time to stand there and argue with Malfoy about the way he was behaving. He'd pay him back later. Right now, Harry needed to get to Haven before she'd hurt herself.
