The school's reaction to the news of Harry and Haven's new relationship was surprisingly underwhelming. Harry and Haven were shocked to find out that over half of the students was convinced they were already dating.
The best reaction they witnessed when they walked into the Great Hall for breakfast one day, was a certain Romilda Vane stalking out with angry tears in her eyes. They heard her burst to tears in the next corridor when Ginny loudly wolf-whistled at the two - they assumed Ron told her about it.
Professor McGonagall's reaction after somehow hearing of the news was also high on their list of favourites, especially the somewhat happy smile she gave them when she sat back at the teachers' table.
"I can't say I'm surprised for this turn of events," She had said before breakfast. "I hope your time together will be fortunate,"
And with those encouraging words, she quickly stalked off again, either in discomfort or to do one of her headmistress duties.
Harry's wide smile proved her words to be effective.
With the two months they had to spend together, they tried to be together as often as possible. Every step one took, the other followed, and so they were rarely seen separated. Of course, they had their boundaries in which they, unfortunately, had to untangle themselves from each other but they managed.
One of those rare occasions was their studies for the NEWTs that Haven desperately needed to pass in order to get accepted into the internship. Potions was her main focus - just a step lower than Harry, of course. It was the sole reason for her stress and worry - especially when she couldn't even find herself to pass the test exam.
"I got 'D'!" Haven exclaimed loudly as she stormed into the common room where she found Harry sitting by the fire with Theo, Ron, and Hermione. She waved a piece of parchment around which they assumed was the test exam for Potions she apparently didn't pass.
"Wow, way to tell everyone, Haven," Harry smirked at her. He was seated on one of the couches with his legs lazily crossed and his arm around the backrest. If Haven wasn't so upset about the grade of her test exam, she would've undoubtedly solely focused on Harry's cocky attitude and demeanour.
"Very funny," Haven snapped. She let herself drop down against the armchair next to Harry, slumped against the backrest.
"I thought so," Harry agreed, not ridding his face of the smirk. He finally started to understand why Haven got so much pleasure out of annoying him until he took her to the bedroom - or any other place that was available really.
"I will strangle you with this stupid piece of paper," Haven threatened, crumbling her test exam in her hand in frustration.
"How's that even possible?"
"Don't question me,"
"I am, though -"
"So, why did you get a 'D'?" Hermione quickly interrupted before Haven would actually jump Harry. "Did you forget to study a chapter maybe?"
"No, I did everything right!" Haven sighed out in defeat. "I studied all afternoon and then again when Harry went to bed -"
"Hey, we went to bed together!" Harry remembered, sitting up straight. "Did you go back to study?"
"None of your business," Haven just said, not really interested in getting scolded by Harry for going to bed too late.
"You need to get enough sleep if you have a test the next day, Haven, maybe that was the reason?" Harry told her carefully, truly worrying for her. He wanted her to get the appropriate NEWTs to get into the internship, even if that meant she would leave him. Staying here would kill her spirits and he couldn't bear to watch her go through that.
