Time went by faster than ever when we were happy together. It was unfair. All the worst times in my life felt like they would never end, and now when I'm actually happy every moment slips by faster.

It has almost been a year and a half since I met Sukuna, fell in love with him and decided to be with him forever.

And I do not regret any of the decisions I've made up till this point.

We talk to almost all of the villagers now, they've warmed up to us in the past few months. We spent a month working on this house and it's finally good enough to stay in till next year. We head down the hill to talk to the villagers more often. Everyone seems to like us. Especially Souta he loves coming and staying with us and even his parents don't worry because they trust us. He would come and stay the night and fall asleep by my side as I told him stories.

"Hey, Souta it's getting late let's sleep."

"Ehhh But!"
He whines.

"No excuses, sleep now."
Sukuna orders him.

Honestly, Sukuna would be the best dad ever. He never says how much he cares about Souta but would always help him and play with him. Even when he fell sick and couldn't come to our house he secretly went to visit him. I wonder if he wants to have kids someday. But how would they be? A cursed child? I'd love to give him more happiness but I'm a little worried if something happens to our kid, would I be able to handle myself?

So I didn't bring it up.

"Ryomen's right, I already told you a story now it's time to sleep!"
I support him.

"Fine!"
He hugs me.

"Tch."

I feel another hug from behind me.

"Su- Ryomen?"

"What?"

"You know you can sleep in front of me right-?"

"I know, I want to sleep like this."

"Are you jealous of a little kid?"

"No."

Yeah right. He definitely was. We wake up to people screaming in the middle of the night. The house was on fire.

"Souta get up!"

"Mh- W-What is going on?"
He was shocked.

"I don't know let's go now!"
I make my way out the back with him and Sukuna.

"M-My parents!"
His eyes were full of terror.

"It's fine Souta I'm sure they ran let's go check."
I pull Sukuna to a corner.

"Maybe it's them, those people who wanted us to die that day.."

"You stay here I'll go check on the village."

"Okay."

He makes his way as fast as he could down the hill. I turn around and can't see Souta anywhere.

"God damn it!!!"

I look around and run down the hill. I can see from a distance all the houses were burning. People screaming, soldiers killing the men and capturing the women and the children alive.
