Chapter 19: Natsu and the Dragon Egg

(East Forest, Magnolia)

Natsu and Happy were at the lake fishing. Lucy was siting down reading a book with Plue massaging her knees. Raiga was just drinking from a large milk carton with Fuuwa next to him.

Lucy: Ugh. I'm busy writing a novel, you know. Why'd you have to drag me fishing with you?

Natsu: Oh, c'mon. You were depressed about not having any new good ideas.

Raiga: A change of pace is the best way for that sort of thing. When you try something new, new thoughts end up pouring in your mind.

Lucy: But why fishing!?

Happy: Because fish is my favorite food!

Lucy: I'll ask again! Why do I have to fish just because it's your favorite food!?

Fuuwa: Just deal with it. It's much easier that way.

Natsu's rod picks something and he stands up.

Natsu: Oh! I got one! 

Happy: It's big! Take it nice and slow!

Raiga: Natsu, you got this!

Natsu pulls the rod and catches a big red monster fish.

Lucy: IT'S HUGE!!!

Happy: UPPA!!!

Lucy: What does "uppa" even mean!?

Meanwhile, Reedus was watching and painting them from a certain distance.

Reedus: They're always having so much fun!

Happy was jumping and dancing out of joy.

Happy: Fish! Fish! I'm so happy! Wow! Yummy!

Lucy: Sheesh. You're not a kid, you know.

Raiga: Just let him have his fun.

Happy: UPPA!!!

Natsu was roasting the fish with his fire.

Natsu: Looks great!

Happy: What did you do!? Fish is best when it's raw!

Natsu: Oh, c'mon. Fish is great cooked too!

Happy: No! No! I wanted to eat it raw!

Natsu: I caught it. If you don't like it, go catch a big one yourself.

Happy: FISH!!!

Natsu starts chowing down the fish.

Lucy: ...-_-... He's even eating the bones...

When he finished, Natsu had a full belly. Leaving a shocked Happy.

Natsu: That hit the spot!

Happy: ...T^T... That was so mean... 

Happy runs away crying.

Happy: Our friendship is over!!

Lucy: This isn't a sports drama... *looks at Natsu* You're not going after him?

Natsu: Like I care.

Lucy: Sheesh. Keep acting tough all the time and girls will never like you!

Raiga: Lucy, you really shouldn't-

Natsu stands up.

Lucy: That's better! Now go and apologize--

Natsu: *Glares* Shut it. Man.

Natsu starts walking away.

Lucy: Wh-What was that!? Talk about obnoxious!

Raiga: Geez, those two will blow anything out of proportion. *sips milk* It's all because of calcium deficiency.
