Chapter 80: Best Partner

It was nighttime. Raiga was sitting on his apartment rooftop gazing at the stars. Then Fuuwa walks up to him.

Fuuwa: Raiga, dinner's ready.

Raiga: ...

Fuuwa: Is something wrong?

Raiga: It's been a full year since I was promoted to S-Class. So now I have to do that.

Fuuwa: I'm sure you'll do fine.

The two then heard the sound of Lucy screaming something inaudible.

Fuuwa: Was that Lucy?

Raiga: Sheesh, is she on her period or something?

Fuuwa: Now that I think about it... this is around the time of year Cana talks about quitting the guild...

Raiga: *Picking his nose* Oh yeah.

(The Next Day)

At the guildhall, Lucy was talking to Mira about how Cana barged into her apartment and talked about quitting the guild.

Lucy: And that's what happened, Mira-san! Cana didn't even tell me why? What's up with her?

Mirajane: *Chuckles* It's fine. Cana always says that around this time.

Lucy: ...O-O... Eh? Around this time?

Then, Natsu and Happy show up, take a job and then leave.

Lucy: Hey! If you're going on a job, take me!

Natsu: Sorry, but I'll be going alone for now!

Happy: We'll hang out with you when you get back!

Natsu then accidentally bumps into Gray, who just came back from a job.

Gray: Watch where you're going, you hothead!

Natsu: And you're in my way, Fruit of the Gloom!

Happy: Do the two of you have the time to be fighting?

Natsu/Gray: You've got a point!

Gray then runs up to Mira.

Gray: I'm back!

Mirajane: Welcome back, Gray. And your clothes?

Gray: There's no time for that! This is my next job!

Mirajane: Got it. Have a nice day.

Lucy: You're going right back out?

Multiple members crowd around Mira to take on more jobs.

Lucy: What the hell is this?

Raiga walks up to Lucy. 

Raiga: Don't worry. You'll know pretty soon.

Lucy: Huh?

Meanwhile, Carla demonstrates her ability of Precognition to Wendy and Lisanna.

Lisanna/Wendy: You can predict the future?

Carla: Yes. Remember what the Queen said? I also have the power to see the future. Now that I consciously realize it, I'm able to control it a little.

Wendy: That's amazing, Carla!

Lisanna: So tell me, who will I marry in the future?

Carla: I can't see that far into the future. *Looks around* Let me see...

Carla then points at Macao.

Carla: For example... You see Macao over there? Pretty soon Wakaba will come over and they'll start talking about the young people in the guild.
