Chapter 58: A Guild for One

Jellal has been cuffed and ready to be taken away.

Lahar: Jellal Fernandez... I hereby place you under arrest for the crime of high treason against the state.

Raiga: W-Wait a minute! He helped us defeat Oracion Seis and destroy Nirvana!

Lahar: Behemoth Raiga, is it? We do acknowledge his assistance in taking down Oracion Seis, but that's hardly enough to pardon any of his crimes. Regardless, Jellal is a dagerous criminal. We cannot allow someone like that to roam free. He must be brought to justice.

Raiga: That's-!

Wendy: Jellal has lost his memories! He doesn't remember a thing!

Lahar: By clause 13 of the criminal code, that is not a valid defense. You can release them from the runes now.

Wendy: But...!

Jellal: It's okay. I have no intention of resisting.

Jellal looked directly at Wendy.

Jellal: I never was able to remember you... I am truly sorry, Wendy...

Carla: She tells me that long ago, she was saved by you.

Jellal: I see. I do not know how much suffering I must've caused all of you. But to hear that I saved someone makes me glad. Erza... Thank you for everything.

Natsu and Raiga looked at Erza while Jellal was being taken away and saw visable signs of anger coming from her. 

Erza: (I must stop him. It's for me to stop him. Jellal is going away... Jellal, finally awakened from his long nightmare, is... How can i just let him be shut up in the darkness yet again?)

Jellal then stopped when he reached Lahar.

Lahar: Is there nothing left you wish to say?

Jellal: No.

Lahar: It's pretty much guaranteed you'll be executed or given life without parole.

Lucy: But that's...

Lahar: You'll never see another human face again.

Wendy: *In Tears* No...

Erza: I won't let you take him!

Natsu: You ain't takin' him!!!

Erza/Jellal: ...!?

Gray: Natsu!

Lucy: They're from the Council!

The Rune Knights then began to swarm over Natsu, who was grabbing the knights in front of him and throwing them off him.

Fuuwa: What are you doing!?

Lahar: Why, you...

Natsu: Move it! He's our ally! We're taking him back with us!

Wendy: Natsu-san...

Jellal: L-Leave me be...

Lahar: Restrain them!

Eventually, everyone except Erza, Fuuwa and Raiga helped push towards freeing Jellal, even Wendy struggled to free Jellal.

Raiga: ...

Fuuwa noticed how angry Raiga was.

Fuuwa: Raiga.

Raiga: I know one good deed isn't enough to make up for what he's done, but...

Fuuwa: This is for the best.

Lahar: Arrest them all! For obstructing government officials and aiding the escape of a criminal!
