Chapter 96: The Man Without the Mark

Everyone was surprised and relief to see Laxus, who just pushed back Hades.

Gray: Laxus...

Lucy: Laxus has come for us!

Wendy: That person is the Master's grandson?

Hades: Brat. Related to Makarov, are we?

Laxus: Pitiful... Looks like this guy totally wiped the floor with all of ya.

Raiga: Lay off, would ya?

Erza: Why are you here?

Laxus: I was called all the way here by this idiot. I also came here to visit Mavis's grave. And looky what I found... The 2nd master's here, too. Since you're here and all, maybe I'll make you a grave, too!

Laxus begins exerting lighting.

Hades: Hmph. Honestly, now. Never thought the boy would have such stuck-up grandkid.

Hades exerted his dark aura. Laxus quickly activated Lightning Body and dashed around to Hades' side, headbutting him and following with a punch. He then came up at a rapid pace and slammed Hades' face into the ground and then going for a ground punch, but Hades quickly moved out of the way.

Hades: You move fairly well. And that magic power, too. To think the boy had someone other than Gildarts at this level.

Laxus: The old man once told me that when facing a strong opponent: "It don't matter how strong the guy is. What's more important is standing up to him." Ain't that right, Raiga?

Raiga manages to get back up and stands next to Laxus.

Raiga: Never thought I'd team up with you all of people.

Hades: Hmph. Foolishness. Sounds like the excuse of a weakling to me. You've had a chance to warm up, yes? Now come at me, youngster!

Raiga: Let's go, Laxus!

Laxus: Lightning Dragon... Roar!!

Hades quickly jumped out of the way and counters with his Chain Magic, which misses and hits the giant globe. Hades tries to flatten Laxus and Raiga with it but misses as it comes closer to Lucy.

Lucy: I have a bad feeling about this!

The globes comes for Lucy however Raiga appears in front of the globe's path and uses his Earth Dragon Hard Fist to shatter the globe.

Raiga: You should watch where you aim that thing.

Laxus charged lightning into his fist and rushed towards Hades. Hades held his arm out and pushed Laxus back using a small wave of magic. Hades then made several hand movements and a several purple magic rings appeared around Laxus.

Fuuwa: An Amaterasu formation!?

Hades: Scatter and fall...!

Hades made one last movement with his hands, activating the magic rings.

Laxus: Crap!

Laxus was engulfed in a large purple explosion. Everyone in the room except Raiga was sent flying back.

Hades: Those who are hit by it lose all power in their limbs, and it is impossible for them to move at all. Even if you defend against it, your magic power will be wiped out.

Raiga: How's this, then!?

Raiga quickly rushed forward with his fist enveloped in earth and landed a solid blow on Hades' gut before being sent backwards. Then a Yellow bolt shot out and went around Hades, striking him in the back. Hades however doesn't have time to react as Raiga comes in front of him and hits him with Earth Dragon Claw and sends him flying.
