Chapter 70: It's Life!!!!

Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Reiko were surrounded by Sugarboy and Hughes.

Sugarboy: Do you return to your cells, or die here?

Hughes: Sugarboy, we don't have to give them the choice.

Natsu: Oh, yeah?

Hughes: We've finished extracting the dragon's magic power. If Code ETD is a success, we'll have no need for the Dragon Slayers. You Earthlanders with no concept of the value of magic will die here!

To Lucy, Natsu, Gray and Reiko's surprise, the large wooden ship Hughes stood on suddenly moves toward them and into the carousel that Sugarboy rode on after a flick of his wand. However, Gray had protected the four of them by using Ice-Make: Shield.

Hughes: An ice shield? So, this is Earthland magic?

Sugarboy: You really don't use tools, don't you? I've never seen it before.

Natsu then produces flames around his feet.

Hughes: There's flames around his legs!

Natsu: Here I come!

Natsu uses the flames around his feet to propel himself and attack Hughes knocking him down the pole he was standing on.

Natsu: Return our friends!

Hughes: Friends? Your "friends" will mix with Extalia's magic, and become an eternal supply of magic power!

Natsu: Why're you still blabbing about that? I said we ain't gonna let you!

Natsu doesn't notice as a roller coaster is coming for him. 

Lucy: Natsu, behind you!

Then suddenly, Lucy finds herself, Gray and Reiko sinking through the ground due to Sugarboy's magic

Lucy: What's this?

Gray: We're sinking into the floor?

Reiko quickly turns to Sugarboy.

Sugarboy: Hmm...

Natsu is able to see the coaster coming and dodges it

Natsu: No way that'll hit me!

Hughes: Oh, we'll see about that. Hell's Tornado!

Natsu: What?

The coaster which had seemed to miss Natsu earlier keeps on going creating further rails behind its back.

Natsu: What the heck!? It's shooting out the rail it's going along!

Hughes: He sounds like he's enjoying it... Anyway, my weapon, the Command Tact, can cause all the attractions here to freely move at will!

Natsu: Who cares if you can move them all you want?

Natsu destroys the coaster with a flame fist.

Natsu: All I gotta do is bust 'em up!

Hughes: That's not good, you imbecile.

Natsu: What'd you call me!?

Hughes: There's more than one Hell's Coaster! And it plays a beautiful symphony which I conduct!

Natsu dodges one of the Hell Coasters but ends up being trapped in another.
