Chapter 23: To Keep From Seeing Those Tears

Natsu and Happy were facing the man named Totomaru. Happy was panicking as the Jupiter cannon was ready to fire again.

Happy: Natsu! The Jupiter is activating!

Natsu: Yeah, I know!

Totomaru: Take this! Blue Fire!

Totomaru hits Natsu with his flames, but to his surprise, Natsu was eating them.

Natsu: That's cold! I've never tasted fire like that before!

Totomaru: I see. So you're one of the Dragon Slayers everyone has been talking about. I guess that places us both at a disadvantage, then.

Natsu: Huh?

Totomaru: Because fire has no effect on either of us.

Natsu got angry.

Natsu: Who says!? You haven't been hit yet!

Totomaru: That's what I'm trying to say. Fire can't hit me.

Natsu gets in position for the Fire Dragon Roar.

Natsu: How about this, then!? Fire Dragon-

Totomaru: All manner of fire is at my control!

However, instead of a dragon roar, Natsu was throwing spit at him.

Natsu: *Laughs* You fell for it!

Mechanical Voice: 2 minutes until Jupiter discharge.

Happy was flying around while panicking.

Happy: This is bad! The Jupiter is about to fire! Hurry!

Totomaru: Curse you...! You fooled me! Orange Fire!

Natsu: You said it yourself! Fire is food to me!

Natsu tried to eat the fire. But the fire's smell was too horrible for him to do so.

Natsu: My nose!

Totomaru: That fire has the smell of an old rag that's sopped up milk.

Totomaru and Natsu were butting heads with each other.
