Chapter 36: Home

(Flashback)

A younger Raiga was practicing his Dragon Roar with his father Ascalon, who had a troubled look on his face.

Kid Raiga: Um... Geezer?

Ascalon: What'd you want?

Kid Raiga: Are you okay? You look troubled?

Ascalon: It's nothing. There's just something really important I need to tell you. If I don't say this now, I might forget later.

Kid Raiga: What is it?

Ascalon: Once you step out into the world, however you decide to live your life will be entirely up to you.

Kid Raiga: Huh?

Ascalon: You must never allow other people to decide who you are. Do whatever you want to do, that's the right way to live.

Kid Raiga: Oh, is that it?

Ascalon: So I'm going to ask you this one thing only, and whether you decide to do it or not its up to you.

Kid Raiga: O-Okay...

Ascalon: If you ever find something worth protecting, do your best to cherish it.

Kid Raiga: *Picking his nose* Uhh... what?

Ascalon: ...-_-... Never mind. Get back to training!

(Flashback Ends)

Raiga finds himself floating in a bright, yet empty space, covered in different shades of gold and yellow.

Raiga: (Is this... death?)

"Have you lived your life the way you wanted to?

Raiga: Huh?

"Have you found something to protect?"

As the light grew brighter, Raiga awakened to find himself on a beach staring at the night sky to.

Raiga: Eh...?

He then looked to the side to see his teammates, Juvia, and Erza's childhood friends running towards him.

Everyone: Raiga!

Raiga: ...O-O... EH!?!?!?

Raiga then realized that Natsu and Erza were helping him get back up. 

Natsu: Hey... still alive?

Raiga: Yeah, I think.

Erza: Raiga, what happened back there? Jellal, is he...?

Raiga: It's all over.

Erza: ...!

Erza then hugged Raiga.

Erza: *In tears* Thank you...

Fuuwa: Raiga...

Fuuwa in her human form walks up to Raiga.
