Chapter 66: Extalia

After failing to infiltrate the castle, Natsu and Wendy were dragged down into what appeared to be a dungeon in the Castle, and were thrown into a cell by Hughes. As the cell door began to lower down from above.

Natsu: You bastards!

Natsu ran towards it, but reached the door after it was completely shut. He then grabbed the cage.

Natsu: Where is everyone?

Hughes: Everyone?

Wendy: Lucy-san, Reiko-san, Carla and Happy!

Hughes: Oh, you mean those women? Sorry, but I ain't got any use for her. Maybe she'll be, like, executed?

Natsu: Just try hurting a hair on her head... 'Cause I'll turn you all... into smoldering ashes!!

Hughes: Whoa, you're scary! Is everyone from Earthland this violent?

Wendy: Why just Lucy-san? What about Carla and Happy?

Hughes: The Exceeds?

Natsu: That ain't Happy's name!

Hughes: The Exceeds who have completed their duty have been sent back to their homeland. They're probably getting their reward and having a big feast about now.

Wendy: Completed their duty?

(Flashback)

Carla: Returning to Edolas is a violation of my orders.

(Flashback Ends)

Wendy: I don't believe you! I might not know what that duty is, but Carla abandoned it!

Hughes: *Chuckles* Oh, no... She fulfilled it quite well.

Wendy: What exactly was her duty?

Hughes: You haven't figured it out yet?

(Meanwhile)

Soldiers were keeping watch of the giant lacrima as everyone was enjoying the festival. When one of the soldiers turns back to see Edolas Gajeel nearby writing down notes

Guard 1: What are you doing?

As he finished writing, Edo-Gajeel found himself surrounded by guards.

Edo-Gajeel put his head down slightly, before looking back up with a large smile on his face, surprising the guards near him.

Edo-Gajeel: Excellent work!

Guard 1: Who are you?

Edo-Gajeel: I am simply a journalist! With such a ceremony, I was hoping to perhaps to take an interview?

Guard 1: I have nothing to tell you. Now, go!

Edo-Gajeel: This is the northern end of the plaza... I presume there are also guards stationed at the southern end?

Guard 1: Go!

Edolas Gajeel then apologized and left. Meanwhile, Earthland Gajeel was looking at the lacrima from the top of a tower, while Raiga was watching it from the top of a tall building.

Gajeel: Damn... If we barge in from the front, the onlookers will get wrapped up in it.

Raiga: If we don't do anything, everyone we know will be gone for good. Hmm... What to do?

They noticed his Edo-Gajeel making gestures towards his Earthland counterpart.

Fuuwa: I have a plan.

Gajeel: Seriously?

Fuuwa: Listen up...

(Meanwhile)

Elsewhere, Carla and Happy lie on a large pink bed. Happy wakes up and looks at his surroundings.
