On their way back to the cellar, Clementine told the others to go ahead. She claimed she wanted to go for a walk and get some fresh air, but the sly smile on Jessie's face told her she knew Clementine well enough to know that that wasn't what she was doing.

The girl wanted to find Leo. She wanted to know why he had left so abruptly without even bothering to say goodbye. Sure they had only met that morning, but everything that they had gone through in the one day, Clementine thought that at least deserved a goodbye.

And, she would have been lying if she said the boy didn't intrigue her. Not many posh people stopped to talk to her and her friends, and none were as eager as Leo to actually be around them.

Clementine wandered the streets for almost half an hour, before finally accepting that Leo was gone. Cutting her losses, Clementine went back to the cellar.

Spike was sitting with Jessie on her bed, the two of them reading a book together. Clementine smiled at the sight of her brother grinning from ear-to-ear sitting beside Jessie. She could see something there, she just wasn't sure what to make of it yet.

Heading to the lower level, Bea and Billy stopped their conversation as soon as they spotted the girl.
"No sign of Leo?" Bea asked.

Clementine shook her head, frowning. "Nah. Considered going to where he said he worked but thought that might be a bit too stalkerish."

"Yeah, probably, Clem," Bea laughed.

Billy shrugged, "For what it's worth, the posh kid seemed like a bit of a wanker."

The two girls rolled their eyes, chuckling at the boy. The sound of laughter drew the attention of the three, all of them glancing up at Jessie and Spike.

A moment later, Bea was walking quickly towards the exit.
"Bumble?" Billy called, but the girl didn't stop.

"I'll get her," Clementine offered, beginning to follow her.

As she walked out the door, she noticed Jessie was by her side. "I'm coming with you," she informed her.

Clementine nodded with a smile, and the two went after Bea. They tracked her to 221B, watching the door shut as she entered.

The girls went and sat on the steps to the apartment, waiting for Bea to reemerge. They both knew there was no point in trying to go in. According to Bea, Doctor Watson was less than welcoming even though he was the one asking for help.
