It hadn't taken Leo long to retrieve the address of Edith Dubois. As soon as he got back with the information, the group left in search of the woman. Unfortunately, Jessie had kept to her statement and stayed behind.
"You sure this is the right place?" Billy asked as the five entered through a garden gate.
He had become much more level-headed since his talk with Bea. Clementine wanted to ask what was going on with him, but she didn't want to get on even worse terms with the boy.
Leo let go of Clementine's hand to reach into his pocket, digging out a folded piece of paper. Unfolding it, he read the address he had written down aloud. "11 Colebrook Gardens. Edith Dubois."
"Looks like someone's already beaten us to it," Spike pointed out as they approached the door to the home. The glass panel had been smashed, most likely so the person could reach in and turn the lock to open the door.
"Watson," Bea presumed as she pushed the door open carefully.
"Why is Watson so desperate to find this plant lady, anyway?"
"That's what we need to figure out," Clementine stated as they all walked inside.
The five walked down the hall, following the messy path someone had left behind.
"Jesus. Looks like our friend, the Doctor, had fun in here."
"Holy moly," Spike exclaimed as he walked beside his twin, following Bea and Billy into what appeared to be the living room. "He's trashed the place."
"You know, I'm starting to think that Doctor Watson may actually be crazy," Clementine stated as she glanced around the room. The place was a complete mess. No one in their right mind would've caused this sort of destruction.
"Is this Edith? With her husband?" Bea asked. Clementine and Spike walked over to where the girl was holding a photo album open. The book was open to a page where there was a picture stuck down of a bride and groom.
Clementine noticed the smiles on their faces and how happy they were to be together. On the opposing page was an image of a man in a suit, who the girl realised was the same man as in the wedding photo.
Bea turned the page, revealing more pictures. It was the same couple but their smiles were no longer present.
"Don't look too chipper there," Spike pointed out.
"Hey, I think I found what Watson was looking for," Billy called from the next room.
Bea shut the photo album and sat it on the table before leading Spike, Clementine and Leo into the same room as Billy. The walls were all windows instead, the room lit completely by natural light. If it weren't so messy, Clementine could imagine this to be quite a beautiful space to spend time in.
