Sorry this is late, guys, I had an essay to write *sigh*

But now, I'm done and I've started Jessica Sula's new show Panic and have time to write, so yay

I thought I'd be able to get more out of this episode, but I forgot that it's literally split between Leo, Bea, and then the others dealing with the case, so there was only really, like, twenty minutes to work with

I'm also trying to decide what story I want to do after I finish this one and my Stiles one. Any particular fandom you guys are interested in?

When Lestrade finally came back, Billy and Clementine went to be with Spike and Jessie. The girl looked a little better after whatever conversation she and Spike had had, but seeing Lestrade again only brought her back down.

Spike stood up in front of Jessie protectively as Lestrade approached.
"I've left word at 221B about how you managed to let a demon escape onto the streets of London," the Inspector said bitterly.

"You're not a very good detective, are you?" Jessie said with a frown on her face as she stood up. "Everything is black and white to you. Angels and demons. People aren't like that. But you don't bother to take the time to understand people. You don't put yourself in their shoes, under their skin."

"And how exactly would that help to find a girl who can become anyone?"

"She may be able to change her appearance, but she can't change who she is," Jessie pointed out. "And I know who she is now. She said to us in the basement that the men took everything from her."

Everyone watched as Jessie stepped away, thinking to herself. She was going over what she had seen in her head, and what they'd been told. Clementine wished she could help, but her ability - or whatever it was - appeared to be more helpful in figuring out what the people could do.

"She meant family," Jessie said suddenly. "That's what this is about. That's what she's always wanted. They gave her syphilis. Took away her ability to have a family of her own. This isn't just about revenge."

"It's about family," Clementine thought aloud.

Jessie nodded, "She's gonna steal one of their families."

"But none of the men who were killed have families," Lestrade pointed out.

"Well, there must be someone who she blames who does. Someone who played a part in it."

Clementine's eyes widened, "The pub owner. He said his family lived above the pub."

Lestrade retrieved his gun from its holster, looking at all of the teens. "You all stay here. I mean it. You're done with this case. Tonight, I strike a blow against Satan. Tonight, he loses one of his foot soldiers."
