Sorry that this is a bit late, I got stuck for a minute there. Hopefully, this chapter makes up for it x
Also, I was on Spotify and saw that someone made a playlist for this book with the songs from the opening chapter. Thank you artsyswan (I'm not sure of your Wattpad username) this honestly made me smile

Clementine went back to the cellar just like she said she would. Heading down the stairs she made her way over to Jessie's sleeping spot.
When she reached it, she was confused to find that Jessie wasn't there. Searching the surrounding area, she realised that she was gone.
"Jessie?" Clementine called, beginning to search the rest of the cellar. "Hey, Leo, have you seen- your shirt,oh, my gosh, you're not wearing a shirt. . ."
Leo was standing up by the set-up they had made for him. There were some candles lit nearby, providing enough light for Clementine to see his bare back. The shock of seeing him shirtless wore off the moment she noticed that half of his back had turned a purple-black colour.
"Oh, my gosh, Leo," she gasped as she began to move closer.
"Please, just stay back, Clementine," Leo said quickly, not turning to face her.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, slowing down but not stopping. "Leo, that's not from falling over."
"I. . . I'm fine."
"Noone who has said 'I'm fine' has ever actually meant it," Clementine sighed, crossing her arms.
Leo shook his head, "I just don't want you to see me like this."
"Like what?" she asked gently.
The boy looked over his shoulder slightly, shaking his head as he looked away from her. "Broken," he responded, tears brimming in his eyes.
"'Broken'? Leo, what are you talking about? Why would you say that?"
Leo leant down and grabbed his shirt off of his bed, struggling for a moment as he stood back up. A groan escaped him as he tried to straighten up, turning to face the girl. "Can you just turn around while I put my shirt on?"
