So, I know that their first kiss was a bit sooner than how I usually do for my OC and love interests. But I feel like when you take into consideration Leo's impulsivity when it comes to his feelings, and then Clementine's tendency to see the best and want to believe in people, it makes sense.

Also, in this chapter, I mention Spike and Clementine's parents. I wasn't originally going to because I was hoping Spike would get some backstory in season 2, but we saw how that worked out.

Alright, onto episode 4, one of my favourites in the season!

Clementine had done her best to stay awake until Bea and Billy got back to the cellar but apparently, she had been more tired than she had originally thought. She had fallen asleep with her head on Leo's shoulder, the boy's arms around her.

She had had another nightmare that night, beginning to toss in her sleep. Leo had managed to soothe her, tightening his arms around her and running a hand up and down her arm as he whispered to hell softly, telling her she would be okay.

The dream had been the same as the one she had been having for over a week. She was trapped in a room of mirrors, and in all of them, she never saw herself.

When she woke up later that morning, she felt Leo's arms still around her. The boy was awake, the grimoire in his hands as he reread certain sections.
"Did you find anything?" she asked through a yawn.

Leo looked down, grinning when he was met with her open eyes. His grin fell to a soft smile as he shut the book, "Unfortunately, nothing. Although, I am starting to believe that A was also an Ipsissimus.

Reaching over, Clementine took the photo of the woman and Watson from the back of the book. "I'm going to show this to Bea. Maybe she saw another photo of this woman when she was in Watson's apartment."

Leo nodded as he retracted his arms from her, watching as she stood up. He immediately felt cold without her by his side. He had to stop himself from asking her to stay.

Bea was already awake, sitting on the upper level with Jessie. When they saw the girl coming, Jessie broke into a smile. "So, you and Leo were the first to get up to shenanigans, after all."

"What?" Clementine laughed, cheeks growing warm.

"Clem, we saw you asleep in his arms. It was sweet," Jessie said dreamily.

"We're not judging you, Clem," Bea assured her.

"Okay, that did happen. And we may have kissed," Clementine admitted. "But there were no shenanigans."

Jessie's eyes were wide as her mouth fell open, an uncontrollable smile reaching her lips. "I knew it!" she gasped.

Clementine laughed, "We can talk about this more later. I came over here to show you both something Leo and I found in Sherlock's grimoire."
She handed Bea the photo, "We think this may be A."
