I don't know what you guys thought of the end there, I just wanted to make Clem a little awkward when it comes to dealing with her feelings and Leo haha

"Okay, so, two of the sightings were around this estate," Bea informed the other two girls as she looked up from the map in her hands.

Jessie looked ahead of them, assessing the area. "All right, well. . . how about I got this way, you go that way, and Clem, you go through that side street. We'll meet back here in half an hour?"

The girl then began to walk in the direction she'd pointed out for herself, not waiting to see if the other girls agreed.

"Jess," Bea called after her sister, not too excited about her sister walking off alone.

"I don't need you holding my hand anymore, Bea," Jess called over her shoulder, continuing to walk away.

Bea stood watching her walk away, a shocked expression on her face. "What just happened?"

Clementine laughed as she began to walk, "She reminds me a lot of you, you know, Bea."

"What? How?"

"Definitely the attitude."
Before Bea could reply, Clementine was telling her it was a joke, before walking in the direction Jessie had given her.

The side street was almost empty, a few people walking in the opposite direction. People in the neighbourhood were on edge after what had been happening.

The case that Doctor Watson had given the group had to do with someone crudely impersonating their own sick little version of the tooth fairy. So far, three people had woken up missing all of their teeth.

Just the thought of that feeling made Clementine feel sick to her stomach. And to make it worse, two of the victims had been children.

While a selfish thought, Clementine couldn't help but be happy that this didn't have anything to do with hands emerging from the ground. After the bone-chilling coincidence of seeing the birds after her nightmares filled with feathers and screeching, she wasn't sure what she would do if another became a reality.

After walking the block and searching every nook and cranny, Clementine made her way back like Jessie had instructed them to. When she reached the building, she saw that Bea was only just getting there too.

"Hey, did you find anything?" The curly-haired girl asked.

"No, nothing," Bea said as she shook her head, walking at a face pace towards the doorway. "Jess? Jessie? Goddamit Jess."

Bea slowed for a moment when she saw a fallen sign in the grass.
