The king of Doyeya sat on his throne, waiting for anything interesting to happen. Suddenly, the doors opened up and he looked up at the newcomer. Immediately, he called out. "Guards!"

The knights ran up to the visitor as he got down onto his knees, clasping his hands behind his head. They pointed their spears at him, ready to stab him at any given moment. The man still kneeled in place, not seeming threatened or rushed.

"Bring him to me."

The guards grabbed the man and dragged him over to the king. The man got back down onto his knees and clasped his hands behind his head again. The king looked at him as the guards pointed their spears at him again, leaving nothing to chance.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't have you killed right here, right now." He said coldly.

"I may be a knight of Frinnor," The man said. "but I am here to propose a pact."

"Like what? You want me to be allies with Rosalis? Don't make me laugh!"

"Quite the opposite, in fact."

The king frowned. "You want my help to destroy Frinnor?"

"I just want Rosalis off the throne. We all do. She has lost her mind completely. The kingdom will not survive with her in charge."

"What about your regent?"

"Rosalis refuses to abdicate the throne. It is still hers by right."

"So how do you propose that we get this maniacal, stubborn bitch off the monarchy? Or more precisely – off your monarchy?"

"You are already thinking what I am thinking, are you not?"

The king smiled.

"How much Greek fire do you have?"

"How much do you need?"

"All of it."

The king chuckled and then suddenly began to laugh, looking up towards the ceiling, his chortle echoing through the hall like the devil's symphony.
