Thomas arrived at the Glade, full of questions but couldn't seem to get any answers. Who put him here? Why couldn't he remember anything? He was currently having his tour with Alby and he really wanted to ask any questions.

The one thing Thomas noticed as he walked around the Glade, was that there were no girls. He hadn't seen any, or even caught a whiff. It just seemed to be boys, boys and even more boys everywhere he looked.

"Why aren't there any girls?" Thomas asked, "Has there been any girls here before?"

Thomas noticed how something flashed across Alby's eyes, it could've been mistaken as grief and pain but it disappeared as quick as it arrived.

"DON'T ASK ME THAT AGAIN YOU SHANK." Alby shouted, glaring at Thomas. "Just don't! Forget it!"

Alby's shouting had gained at attention of the nearby Builders who looked at him with sympathy. Gally came jogging over and scowled at Thomas, if looks could kill he would be dead and buried.

Thomas watched as Alby said something quietly to Gally, his nostrils flared and he then led Alby away into the Homestead, leaving Thomas stood awkwardly on his own.

"Greenie!" Newt cried, limping over to him. "What the bloody hell have you done, eh?"

"I just asked Alby why there aren't any girls and he shouted at me..." Thomas murmured quietly.

Newt visibly paled and had to grab Thomas' shoulder to steady himself. "Oh," he muttered, his eyes cast down to the ground.

Thomas raised an eyebrow but Newt shook him off, causing him to wonder what was so bad about his question.

Thomas was stood beside Newt and Zart in the gardens, asking even more questions.

"What about — "

" — whatever you're about to say, we've already tried it." Newt said, he bent down and picked up a basket and threw it at Thomas. "Now, make yourself useful and get us some bloody fertiliser."

Zart snickered, picking some weeds from the plant bed.

Thomas walked towards the forest, the basket in his hands. Entering the Deadheads, the sun immediately stopped shining through and a gust of cold wind swept over Thomas, like something from a nightmare.

He tripped over his own feet and stumbled in front of several graves, piles of soil with a wooden cross perched on top of them. Thomas felt sick to this stomach, why on Earth were there graves? What type of place was this?

Thomas quickly scrambled to his feet, leaving the basket lying on the ground and ran away. He ran away from the graves and hurried over to the river, splashing himself with the cold water in an attempt to wake himself up from this horrid nightmare he was currently living.
