Aurora really wanted to punch someone

Aurora really wanted to punch someone. It was getting extremely difficult for her not to punch one of the Gladers as the next day drew on, especially as they were laughing at her favourite little bag of joy.

The Greenie was trying out for his jobs, and honestly, he wasn't very good at any of them. The poor boy was too young for the majority of them, and his size instantly crossed him off for being a Runner according to Ben.

He couldn't seem to focus, and although Aurora had instructed everyone to be nice to him, he still seemed a bit weepy. She couldn't blame him, especially when the young boy had to kill one of the pigs — resulting in a high pitch scream and the red droplets splattering against the walls of the Blood House.

Lunch rolled around and Aurora joined the queue for Frypan's food, Minho behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist and his chin resting on her head.

"You okay there?" Aurora asked laughing slightly, resting her hand gently on his arm.

"Yeah," he replied, "absolutely shuckin' starving though." And at that point Minho's stomach let out a large rumble.

Ben turned around and laughed at him, both of the boys acting like young children which caused Frypan to shake his head at them from a far.

They moved forwards in the line until Aurora was at the front, facing Frypan with a large smile. He handed her two wrapped cheese and ham sandwiches before shooing her off so he could hand Minho his, Aurora standing still and waiting for her boyfriend.

The two then walked in blissful silence over to the Med-jack hut where Minho pushed the door open for her, and waited until Aurora was inside before softly shutting the door behind her.

She pushed herself up onto the counter, her legs swinging mindlessly below meanwhile Minho sat on the small bed opposite, ruining the clean linen that Aurora has spent ages tucking in.

"Do you mind?" she huffed, jumping off the counter almost immediately to tuck the corners back in, a grumbled expression woven onto her features. "I spent ages making that nice and neat this morning now you've come along and ruined it you slinthead."

He laughed melodically, the sound causing butterflies to attack Aurora's stomach, the feeling of glee and love being almost intoxicating.

"I'm very sorry," he replied, but she could tell he was being sarcastic. "I apologise from the deepest part of my heart."

Aurora rolled her eyes jokingly at him, but a faint smile tugged at her lips. She sat beside him gently on the bed, unwrapping her sandwiches and bringing it up to her rosy lips. Taking a bite, Aurora hummed happily at the party that was occurring on her tastebuds.
