Pls- what are some good synonyms for laugh, laughed, and/or laughing besides chuckled? And smile/smiled/grin. Cause honestly I'm tired of using laugh and smile.

Also, I wrote slushie but my keyboard said the correct way to spell it is slushy so yeah, weird?

Rhiya's POV
"Can you go ask if we can have an extra room key? I'll bring the food in." Mattia asked.

"Yeah, sure." I went into the lobby and pressed the little bell at the front desk, since nobody was there. A girl about my age with dirty blonde hair came to the desk. She had her hair in a high ponytail with two strands in the front, it really suited her.

"Hi, how may I help you today?" She seemed oddly... familiar.

"Hi, can I have an extra key for room 519?" She raised her eyebrows a little bit and nodded.

"Uh, yeah, yeah I just need to see the original room key we gave you, or see ID to match who the room is registered to." I checked my pockets for the keycard, but then I remembered Mattia had it.

"Damn, my boyfriend has the keycard, I'll just come back later." I sighed. "Thank you though!" She gave me a no problem type of smile, but the whole time she seemed uncomfortable in a way.

Where the hell have I seen her? Mattia didn't come from the car yet so I went to go see what was taking him so long.

When I was walking out of the place, he was walking in. Clearly we hadn't seen each other since he was rounding the corner. We bumped into each other and the drinks spilled on both of us, mostly me. My slushie spilled on me, which was freezing cold, and Mattia caught his soda after almost half of it already spilled on him.

"Shit! I'm sorry-"

"No, it's fine Tia. It's okay." I put the practically empty cups in the cup holders, then put them in the outside trash can. When I came back inside, the girl from the desk had given Mattia a towel, but he seemed pretty upset about it.

She said something to him and moved his hand in the air, as if he was swatting a fly. It was clear that she was a little bit hurt from that, but she still walked away. I made my way over to him and he passed me the towel.

"That was rude Tia." I whispered.

"What was rude?"

"She gave you a towel and you just sent her on her way." I explained.

"She was flirting with me, come on." He put his hand on the small of my back and guided me to the elevator. It didn't seem like that to me, at all.

"Oh." I knew there was more to it, he was so rude to her... maybe it was because he was still upset about the drink thing, but that still doesn't excuse the way he shooed her off.

"Yeah, oh."

The elevators opened and we walked down the hallway, to the room. I took off my shirt and tossed it onto the bed. Mattia changed his shirt, put the food on my bed, and grabbed his keys.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm getting your slushy." He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"No, it's fine. There's drinks in the lobby next to the vending machine."

"I know, but you said you really wanted a slushy, so I'm getting you a new one... you comin with?" I shook my head.

"Fuck the slushy and get me an iced tea." I laughed.

"So you're not coming with? Okay, I'll be back then." I was gonna tell him to stay again, but he was already out of the door.
