New Jersey, Continuation From Last Chapter, Hours Later, 8:57pm

Mattia's POV
Even though Kairi is a dumbass, he's also a life saver. He got the little gift bags that I wanted, and the book. I had everything planned and ready, that's when I realized I got her too much. How am I gonna give her four expensive gifts without her killing me on sight?

I could space out the time of when I give them to her, but which gifts and when? How much time before each gifts? Should I give her some in the morning and the rest at night? Or just give them to her the day after?

I don't know.

I finished putting each little gift in its own bag. There was a total of three bags, cause I actually got her five things. 2 of the things that I got her went together so I put them all in one bag, the rest of the items had their own. Except for one, which had a box.

I guess I'm putting so much work into her birthday and these gifts because I wanna make up for everything. Everytime I've intentionally gotten her upset, and the two years that we had without each other. Also, me not noticing that she was in such a bad relationship right away, and lying to Valentina.

I put all the gifts to the side so I could bring them to her tomorrow. I then pulled out my phone and FaceTimed her.

"Helloooo?" She answered as she faced the phone towards the ceiling.

"Why can't I see your face?"

"Cause I look soooo bad right now."

"There's no way, let me see." She faced the phone towards her face and she laughed. Her eyes were red.

"Awwwww Mattiaaaa! You're so cute!"

"Lmao, thanks."

"Lmfaooo you just said lmao ahhhahaha." Yeah, she's high.

"Rhiya."

"Whaa? What?" She laughed. "I'm fine."

"I never said you weren't."

"Shit! Oh, I mean, uhhh. Damn, you're really cute. Wait a minute, when did you- why do you look so hot right now- wait."

"Are you high?"

"Nooo!! Why would you say that?!"

"You're high."

"Stop! No no no. I'm not!"

"Did you smoke?"

"No! Stop!" She laughed.

"Did you take an edible?"

"I thought it was a brownie! It was a brownie! The wrong kind! I had two!!" She sighed. "Goodnight Kai Bear- I mean Mattia Bear- I mean Dino head. Yeah, goodnight babes! I'm tireddd!"

"I bet you are."

"Von didn't tell me it wasn't a regular brownie... He didn't tell me Mattia!!"

"That's ok, it's fine, calm down."

"I'm calm!"

"Ok." I laughed.

"Mattiaaaa stop! Nothings funny."

"Well I just called to tell you goodnight Ry."

"Aww, that's so sweet of you. See this is why I like you- you, your, um, your vibe. Yeah, your vibeee. Ok bye." She hung up the phone after her slip-up.

If she had two then maybe she'll still be high tomorrow, then she won't care about me celebrating her birthday tomorrow.
