Continuation from last chapter

Omniscient/Third Person POV
"Get in the car."

"No." She kept walking and he slowly followed with his car.

"Get in the fucking car Rhiya." He said raising his voice which made her flinch. Of course Mattia was wondering why she flinched in the first place, she's not like that.

Rhiya got in the passenger seat and waited for him to go. He put the car in park and locked the doors. Rhiya looked at him in confusion while he looked down at the wheel.

"Sorry." He sighed.

"It's ok." She mumbled. He hated the fact that she was there, he was just starting to forget about her.

"Um... it's been awhile. How have you been?" He started taking Kairi's advice without even realizing it. He also found himself asking because he was genuinely wondering. It has been a year after all.

"Good... how are you?" She wanted to tell him to take her home, and she normally would've, but after getting back together with Jayden she hasn't been standing up for herself as much.

He was surprised that she actually answered the question like they weren't just fighting. "I'm good. I've got my hair to grow out a little more, my car... and I have a girlfriend."

"Oh, congrats." She smiled, but in her head she was still trying to process that. She didn't know how she felt about it. On the other hand, Mattia didn't sense any bit of jealousy, which annoyed him.

"So, have you been seeing anyone? In collage or something?"

"I'm not going to collage. Why are you trying to make small talk after you just blacked out on me?"

"I didn't black out on you-" Rhiya's phone began ringing and Jayden's name flashed across the screen. Mattia saw and she flipped her phone upside down, letting it ring on the dashboard. He had seen Jayden's name in the live, but had no idea who it was. He figured they had something going on, but he was hoping they didn't. "You're not gonna answer that?"

"No. Back to what we were saying."

"Who's Jayden?"

"What-"

"Don't bother lying. Who is it?" Mattia wasn't thinking at all. In this moment, he was back to his old mindset of missing her and wanting to know if she was ok. After he accepted she was gone, he just kept going with the "fuck her" mindset.

"It's no one Mattia." She sent a reassuring smile as the phone stopped ringing.

"You're lying. I know you are."

"I'm not. Promise." The phone started ringing again.

"Just answer it and I'll take you home." He sighed. She hesitantly grabbed her phone, seeing his name across the screen again. She knew he was gonna keep calling, so she answered. Mattia was about to start the car but she held her hand out to stop him. She didn't want Jayden knowing she was in the car with someone else, cause he knows Rhiya can't drive, and that her mom hates driving.

"Hello?" She asked softly.

"Where the fuck are you?!"

"I-I'm with my mo-"

"The fuck you lying for?! I saw the fucking live! So what? We just leave the state and hang out with other guys now?!"

"No, its not like that-"

"Well it seems like it is!"

"Jayden. I promise everything is fine. I'm not-"

"It doesn't matter anymore. I'm coming down there-"
