Asher's POV

"Lyra! No Lyra! Please come back!" I sit up from the bed and look over to Atlas who was thrashing around. Grabbing his shoulder I attempt to wake him. "Atlas! Atlas! Love please!" I plead with him rubbing my eye with my other hand.

He gasps his eyes flying open as he clings onto me. "Lyra! Where is she!" He asks looking around the room for her. "She's in her room, sleeping I think," I told him as he crushed me in a hug.

"I-I need to go make sure she's okay" he whispers pulling away and sliding off of the bed.  "Let me come with you" I call following after him. He waits for me and I grab his hand holding it tightly as we tiptoe our way to Lyra's room.

It was silent until he twisted the door nob to her room, letting go of my hand for a split second to step into her room.  I watch from the doorway as he goes over to her bed letting out a breath of relief when he finds her sleeping peacefully.

Walking back over to me he gives me a groggy smile "she's okay" he smiles closing the door behind him. "That's good" I mumble rubbing my hand up and down his arm.

I lead him back to his room his eyes staring holes into every door we pass. It's been like this since the first task he has these terrible nightmares.  The first night he checked every single bedroom including Uncle Ron and Blaise's even my parents.

I closed his door as he trudged over to his bed. With a sigh, pulling his shirt over his head deciding he didn't want it on all of a sudden. I grab the shirt off of the floor hanging it over the back of his chair.

Crawling onto the bed behind, I wrap my arms around him. "Let's go back to bed you're going to need some sleep" I whisper kissing his back. He nods but makes no effort to lay down.

"Atlas?" I whisper rubbing his shoulder. "Yeah?" He answers meekly. I retract my arms and crawl to the front of him wrapping my arms around his neck loosely. "You did so well" I remind him as he stares at me with worry and fear.

His hands reach forward touching my neck. "Nothing, but your faded love bites" I remind him and he smiles moving my collar down a bit more to see them. "It was so real... so gory" he trembles as I nod remembering it all.

When we first saw EJ appeared Harry almost passed out. Once we saw the actual EJ in Seren's lap and realized what was really happening we forced him to look the other way. We had been so consumed by what was happening in front of us it wasn't until Seren finally stood screaming at the top of her lungs.

I had been crying watching Atlas be flung against wall after wall my family dying in front of me.  Papa ended up pulling me into his lap, which I felt extremely childish about but he refused to let go.  Dad holding onto my hand the whole time.

The way the creature just slit my... I snap out of my thoughts touching my throat. Atlas moves my hand gently laying me back.  "I promised I'd come back" he chuckles sadly kissing a line along my neck before laying down next to me.

"Yeah, you did" I smile even though deep down I wasn't sure he would ever be the same. His finger traced patterns along with my shirt as I stared at him lovingly. "Here" I whisper tapping my chest.

He seems to understand and lifts himself up laying his head onto my chest. "Now sleep" I encourage him while he nods into my chest. "Thank you" he grumbles his arm wrapping around me protectively.

I bring my hand to his back rubbing his shoulder blades my other hand massaging his scalp. He lets out a satisfied groan squeezing my side. I smile closing my eyes only to come to the terms that I couldn't sleep.

They said it would be safer, yet every kid that left that stadium look half dead or looked like they wanted to be dead. It made me so upset I wanted to cuss at someone! Watching each one of them lose their will to live or be happy.

I sighed turning my head to the side, yawning and hoping sleep would actually come, now that I ranted to myself.  It seemed to work as I close my eyes cuddling as close as I could to the warmth on top of me.

"Go to your partner. To receive the credit you must get 3 petals from the Autumn Rapid in the next 3 days. They are bright orange, for those of you who didn't pay attention in class" Professor sprouts sends us off as I search the room for Atlas.

The one class we had together. He had a bored look on his face as I stood in front of him now pouting. "Are you okay?" I ask putting a hand on his cheek. "Perfect, Angel" he answers giving me a small peck.

Atlas didn't seem to care for finding the plant, but I wanted to get a good grade so I continued to search until finally, he sat down against a tall hedge. I squat down next to him feeling his forehead.

He seemed fine just dazed. "Here, you stay here I'll go get you some water then I'll go look for the petals" I come up with a plan. He grabs my wrist keeping me next to him. With a small smirk, he slips his hand into his pocket pulling out a vile. "3 petals of Autumn Rapid right here" he chuckles as I stare at him in shock.

"How!? What?- where!?" I attempt to ask him 3 different questions at once. "Gramps gave them to me once I asked" he whispers and I nod tapping my chin. "That's cheating though" I remind him as he shrugs his shoulders.

"Not unless somebody finds out" He used a finger motioning me toward him. I smiled walking back over to him. "And nobody's going to find out, right?" He smirks as I nod innocently. "Yes," I zip my mouth shout getting a kiss in return.

"But now what do we do for three days" I whine spinning around the cold hitting my nose. I don't understand why we don't look for Autumn Rapids in Autumn. "What you don't want to hang out with me!?" Atlas asked absolutely appalled.

I stop my spinning and quickly walk over to him. "Of course I do silly" I giggle laying across his legs. The ground was lightly covered in snow, but not much.  I didn't mind knowing we could quickly dry off after class.

I wonder what the next task will be, I don't want to bring it up quite yet, but I want to help him as much as I can.  I fidget with the snow in front of me clearing it until I find grass. "You're definitely in a good mood today" Atlas chuckles rubbing my back.

"What makes you say that!" I try to frown but it turns into giggles. "You tend to act more freely when you're happy, when you're comfortable" he smiles looking down at me.

"I'm not annoying right?" I ask just double-checking. "Of course not" he answers immediately as I suddenly feel guilty.  I shouldn't be so happy, he just went through so much, yet he's trying to make it seem like nothing happened.

I sit up on my elbows looking forward a pair in the way distances searching for the petals. "So, is there anything you want to do... or talk about?" I try to hint at a certain part.  I want him to be able to cry to me because all I ever do is cry to him.

I slouch, my face slipping through my hands. "I know what we can do" he chuckles making me perk up immediately. Before I can turn around to ask what his hand comes down firmly on my butt gripping it tightly.

A muffled moan escaped my lips as I tried to force it back down my throat and covered my mouth with my hand. Letting my head fall into the snow, I swear it was melting from how hot my face was, from embarrassment.

His hand doesn't leave as I seem to just sink farther into the Earth.  He leans down closer to me before kissing the back of my head.  "We can talk about that later, for now, I just want my mind on anything, but what happen last week" he sighs his hand going through his hair.

"I can help!" I cheer sitting up. "How? Wanna make some more of those noises for me" he smiles evilly as I hide my face in shame.

"Will it make you feel better?"

"Ash! No! I was just kidding!"

"Oh, okay"

"Bloody hell! You're too kind for this world"
