Atlas's POV
"As most of you may remember... we will be hosting the Triwizard tournament this year" Mimi shouts raising her arms as some students cheered others looking around shocked. I look over to the Hufflepuff table and grip my fork tightly. Asher was leaning against... thick neck Thomas.
He was sad... Asher hugged his body as he stared harshly at the ground muttering to himself. Thomas comforted him as best as he could whispering something. Ash was just too zoned out. I told him he shouldn't have come for the first week. "So would you all turn to welcome Beauxbatons Academy of Magic" she cheers as the doors burst open.
Students in light blue uniforms danced their way down the aisle gracefully and slowly, flowers blooming from their hands. They give the crowd a kiss and the petals are blown around, sprinkling down on us. There goes the kid with allergies.
Their headmaster, who was surprisingly taller than Hagrid followed in behind them. They gathered in a corner and gave us one last bow as some of our kids mostly boys whistled at them.
Hagrid gave their headmaster a little wave and she waved back batting her eyes innocently as I looked away in horror. "Next we have, Durmstrang" Mimi shouts and the doors open once again to tall warrior like... students? They run in their staffs pounding the floor to a drum-like beat.
They let out a unified battle cry before breaking into groups and throwing some kids up so they could flip and land on the ground with a hero pose. I clapped impressed, but I couldn't seem to find who I was looking for.
Searching through the yelling kids they repeated this process all the way to the front. I smiled as they threw one more kid up, the student flipped backward landing on the ground with a smirk. Sending a look over the the Gryffindor table, they winked making may of the girls shriek.
Durmstrang repeated what the other school did, bowing, everybody erupted into applause getting silenced by Mimi who just wanted the school year to be over with already.
"As you may know some rules have changed-" she gets cut off by some yelling. "Shut it" Gramps stands quieting the kids. "The age to enter is 16 and instead of just one student from each school.... even though that didn't work well last time" she sent a look to Dad who chuckled knowing she was talking about Papa.
"Two... two students from each school will be chosen" she yells lifting her hands to emphasize it. "It will be the same as it has always been, put your name into the Goblet of Fire if you wish to enter... and good luck" she nods goodbye and walks off. The kids from Hogwarts rising to gossip with others.
I stand and push my way through the crowd of students finding myself at the Hufflepuff table. "You okay?" I take Ash from Thomas who gives me a protective look. "I-I think I'm going to go home" he whispers hugging himself.
"That's fine, let's go talk to my Dad, he can contact your parents or get your a ride home" I whisper, while he nods into my chest. "Did he tell you?" I ask the big-nosed boy looking him up and down. "No he was just trembling the whole time" he sighs patting Asher's back. "Feel better Asher"
He walks away and I start to lead Asher up towards Dad. "Look who it is" the flip kid shouts. "I totally forgot you went to that school" I chuckle looking up and down their uniform. "How does it feel getting flung around" I laugh remembering them flipping all over the place.
"Hey shut up, it's not my fault I'm lighter than them" they sigh patting Asher's head. "You okay Asher" they whisper looking up to me. "I'm fine Jax, thank you though" he barely gets out an answer.
