Emerald's POV
"You're stupid... absolutely stupid" my lovely girlfriend tells me as I nod in agreement. "I know" I agree putting the kitten back into my robe pocket. She poked her little head out staring around curiously. "You hurt my feelings" I pout wrapping my arms around her.
Her annoyed face freezes and she soon becomes a blushing mess. "I don't care" Iris spits out and I stick my bottom lip out. "Well that just hurt more, you should give me a kiss" I whisper licking my lips.
"You're an idiot" she grumbled and I nod once again. "No, I just know how to have fun" I smirk patting my kitten's head. She rolls her eyes before leaning down to give me my kiss. I pull away satisfied as she stares at the ground.
"Now that Zuzu is how you get the lady... don't worry mama will teach you everything you need to know" I chuckle getting a tiny meow in response. With a dissatisfied grunt, Iris leans over taking the cat out of my pocket.
"Your mama is a liar, she had no idea what she's doing... I just pity her" Iris coos into the kitten's face. She meows again reaching her legs out wanting something under her feet. "Now look at who's being the idiot" I sneer.
"What! How?- How am I being an idiot?" She asks popping her hip out and setting our precious child in her arms. "You're just putting our child out for the whole world to see- For your information it was supposed to be a secret" I poke her and she pokes me back just as hard.
"Yeah yeah," she groans kissing the cat's head. Zuzu meows again before she's given back to me her continuous cries going silent. I rub my fingers over the top of her head and down her snout.
She nuzzles her head farther into my hand with a purr. "Don't worry your mommy is lying to you" I mumble before placing her back into my robe pocket."wow calling me a liar now" her voice was high in sarcasm.
"Baby let's not start" I smile touching her lips. I get a grumble in response before she attempts to bite my finger. "Feisty" I smirk getting a groan in response. Taking her hand I calmly drag her towards the great hall not wanting to shake baby Zuzu too much.
She seemed to be having fun popping her head in and out of my pocket. Entering the Great hall I take her hand kissing it lightly. "Stop acting like you're some lady all of the sudden" she doesn't seem to appreciate my kind gesture.
"Fine fine, go back to your sister" I whine and she turns to leave. "What!" I mutter my mouth dropping open. She spins around with an innocent look before walking back over to me. "I didn't forget just messing with you" she teases before giving me a peck on the lips.
"I love you" I mumble getting a nod. "I love you too" she whispers before looking down at Zuzu. "I love you too... don't get Em into trouble... please" she chuckles, heading to her table again. I strut happily over to my table plopping down next to my brother.
"You look dead" I chuckle moving my child to my lap. She spins around a few times before stretching out and getting comfortable. Atlas groans lifting his head from the table. I finally get a good look at him. The sudden urge to make fun of him and joke was gone, and replaced by genuine worry.
His eye bags were evident and his puffy. He seemed like he hadn't slept a wink. "Atlas?" I ask putting a hand on his shoulder. He looks at me with hurt eyes. His hand nervously playing with his ring spinning it over and over again.
"We fought... he won't talk to me" he whispers his hands freezing. "That's okay... people fight all the time" I try to explain but he shakes his head wiping his tired eyes. "Somethings wrong with him, and I got mad because he was lying to my face. So he misinterpreted something... and we haven't talked in a week... he won't even look at me!" He rambles clutching his hair with both hands.
I looked over to the Hufflepuff table to find Asher at the end as usual. His friend sat next to him. His eyes seemed to be puffy as well. Thomas was comforting him holding him in a hug while Asher's shoulders shook.
"I know you guys are going to get through this... do you see him right now?" I ask and he squints his eyes before shaking his head looking at Asher. "My poor Angel" he mutters bringing his hand to his mouth.
"Do you think he will leave me for Thomas? I was fine with him having a friend... I just wanted it to be anyone but Thomas. I would have trusted any other person, but he just made such obvious advances. I started this because I didn't trust Thomas enough" he holds in a cry looking at his lover desperately.
I shook my head feeding my innocent darling cat bacon. She gnaws on it as I brought my hand to Atlas's back my face in shock. Atlas hated crying, he believes it showed weakness and wants to stay strong for his family. "He would never do that... Asher loves you, he's infatuated with you!" I reassure him.
Zuzu pounces from my lap to Atlas and he jolts in surprise. "Demon cat!?" He asks before looking at me. "Did you really bring your devil's spawn" he groans into his hand before looking at my beautiful baby again.
"And you fed her bacon!?" He whispers absolutely shocked. I nod proudly of my parenting. "I'm a bad bitch and my child is going to be just as bad ass bitch" I smirk getting an annoyed look. "Just because you feed your cat bacon doesn't mean she's going to be- she's already a bitch" he chuckles and I gasp.
"A bitch! My cat is not a bitch take it back" I shake my head absolutely horrified. "But you just said... I'm over this" he gives up his eyes making their way back to his boyfriend. "He's still holding him" my brother groans obviously getting jealous.
"Maybe I should go... ow did you just claw me" he hisses at the cat. "Hey don't blame my baby for your delicate self" I coo reaching over for her. "How do you even plan on keeping her quiet the rest of the day?" He asks resting his head on his hand.
"She's a good girl" I trail a finger down her tail, getting a purr in response. "Mhmm sure," he huffs. Tapping his fingers on the table nervously before suddenly clutching it. "Em... please go get Ash" he pleads his voice dropping.
"Why?" I look back over to him and he was full-blown sobbing. Thomas was comforting as best as he could but it didn't seem to be helping. "Zuzu we're going to go make Asher feel better," I tell her getting nothing in response.
I hide the cat in my pocket and stand speed walking over to my brother's boyfriend. Thomas quickly pulls away from him and stands coming to me. "I think something happened to him and Atlas he's devastated" Thomas runs a hand through his hair worried and I nod.
"Thank you for taking such good care of him... I'll be taking him for a little walk" I explain going over to the crying boy. I grab Asher by the arm and help him up. He attempts to hide as I take him out into the hallway. "Just try to breath... in through the nose, out through the mouth", I attempt to calm him as he tried to do what I said.
"Emmy" he breathed out harshly clutching his heart. "I'm right here... right here" I comfort him rubbing his back as I lead him to the only place I can think of which was Dad's class.
It didn't take long and I hurriedly shut the door behind us. Bringing the boy over to my Dad's chair. Forcing him down I took Zuzu from my pocket and set her on his desk. "Okay... breathe... breathe with me" I whisper, taking in a deep breath and exhaling.
He follows along almost choking on his own tears. I repeated this action rubbing his back as he hunched over the chair. "You're doing so good..." I remind him and he nods wiping his tears away. "It hurts" he cries clutching his heart. "I want Atlas..." he continues and I nod turning to place Zuzu in his lap.
"Zuzu?" He cries hugging the kitten. "Be a good kitten for mama and take care of Asher when I'm gone" I joke patting both on their heads. "Wait- where are you going!?" He asks frantically his whole body trembling. "To... get Atlas? He's going to take you home!" I say suddenly unsure.
"No! I mean... no please don't I'm sorry... I lied when I said I wanted to Atlas... I was just- he doesn't need to deal with more of my..." he trails off laying against the chair Zuzu making a great cuddle Buddy.
"He loves you, I hope you know that"
