Chapter 39
(Y/n's POV)
I stepped inside the restaurant that was standing at the corner of the old street. The chilly air embraced me as it was air conditioned inside. It chased away all my tiredness and exhaustion that I had received on my way going there. The weather was really hot after all.
The place was not too big but spacious enough. My eyes quickly scanned the whole place, trying to find a particular face, for which I paid a visit there. I found him sitting at the third table on the right row. He had something in his hand, a plush like thing. He was busy playing with it. I laughed on my own, seeing his cute attitudes. Suddenly he raised his head and looked around once before finally landing his gaze on me. He waved his hands, giving a sugary sweet smile. I need to mention that it was too much sugary. Also, I couldn't deny the fact that he was exactly looking like a bunny that day. A hot bunny indeed.
I waved back my hand smilingly and slowly walked over him. I dragged the chair across him and settled down.
It was the newly opened restaurant Jungkook talked about the other day. The restaurant was slightly different than the most others. It was really quiet and calm comparing with the other restaurants of the city. I liked the atmosphere of the place. Calm, cool and peaceful. Moreover, it was located at such a place that can't be noticed so easily. And don't know why but I think it resembles that the place is kinda special. Like, it's for those who really wants to find it.
The only word came into my mind since I had set my foot inside was 'Vintage.' Soft beige colored walls and dark chocolate tiled floors went too well with each other. The off-white tables and chairs were arranged in such a neat manner that made me remember of a doll house. I appreciated the fact that they tried to keep the interior minimalist. The decor was a harmonious blend of vintage and modern. Quite classy and sophisticated. Every little object were arranged in an orderly way. Nothing was too expensive. Simple accessories, yet very aesthetic.
The only thing caught my attention so much was a mirror, a vintage mirror. It was placed in a corner. The metallic silver color of the rectangular frame was so polished that it was reflecting light. The gorgeous floral designs on the not-so-wide frame simply brought a royal vibe. The mirror was long and was leaning against the wall. I didn't understand why they needed to put a mirror there but I couldn't deny it made the place look slightly unique.
After observing each and every details of the place, I came to a conclusion that the owner really has a decent taste as I fell in love with the way he had decorated the restaurant.
I didn't have any plan for the day as it was our day off. The last week had been really hectic as the finals were on their way. So, my plan was to sleep off the whole day and recover the sleeps I had sacrificed for last few days. But gladly, Jungkook ruined all the plan, calling me early in the morning. He asked me to meet and grab lunch together. Because he had an important talk with me. I had no idea what that was about and honestly I was pretty curious. I mean, who wouldn't? That's why I showed up here in the hot day of summer, leaving my lonely bed. And sacrificing my sleep for one more time.
"What is this?" I asked, pointing at the thing in his hand that kept him smiling for long.
He said with a big grin plastered on his face. "This iron man plushie caught my attention while I was passing by a toy store. Isn't it cute?" He moved the small red thing with some yellow colors on it, in front of my eyes and in the most adorable way.
