Chapter 18

I finally reached to the library where Namjoon as well as Taehyung waiting for me. I saw Namjoon waving his hand at me after noticing me. I came over them, dragged a chair and claimed my seat. Things I gone through few minutes ago still hadn't leave me, and maybe my face was showing something of that. Honestly, I wasn't feeling that good but I didn't want to tell them that I can't come. I exhaled a breathe and hid my face with my palms. Taehyung kept his hand on my shoulder and asked, "Hey, are you ok?" Namjoon also looked at me with a slightly different look. I revealed my face and replied, "Yeah, I'm fine." I tried to assure him but I knew he didn't believe me completly.

"What did she tell you?" He asked again. "Nothing special." I lied.

In order to avoid furthermore questions, I looked at Namjoon and said, "What did you want to tell me?"

"Are you sure you're ok?" He asked. I laughed and replied, "Come on guys, I'm fine."

He leaned back a bit and started saying, "Ok. The thing I wanted to tell you is....I'm joining into an investigation case." My eyes got wider and wider, but Taehyung still had that expressionless look on his face. "What? I mean, how?" I said excitedly.

"Actually, I'm just collaborating with my cousin, Seokjin. I met him a few days ago and we had a discuss about this. Well, he is a police officer and he took a difficult case recently. The case is kinda difficult and had a long history. So, he has invited me to join if I want. And I couldn't refuse it." He chuckled.

"Okay, but what is it about?" I asked. Namjoon said, "Ok. Listen carefully. The case is about a gang of smugglers. The group is quite old and a big one. Police have been trying to catch them for more than 20 years."

"More than 20 years?!" I astonished.

"Yes. And I have to say that the gang is really expert in smuggling. Cause they are unpredictable. Police tried to track them many times but failed each time. During Christmas, they were smuggling illegal armours from southern border. Police tried their best to catch them but failed like before. They used grenades on police and 2 officers died. Few more were badly injured.The case is so tricky cause it's really hard to track them as they don't leave any evidences. Even government announced big reward for catching them. Recently from some sources, police got to know about a ship named Tiatnium-99. The ship has a dark past as it was used to carry illegal stuffs. Not many people know it's history cause they tried to remove it but somehow police got to know about it after much research. Titanium-99 is coming to Seoul Port from Canada this week. So, there's a possibility that the gang may gather on that port. And that's why a group of polices will go there for investigation next Tuesday. And I'll become a part of them."

"So you said that police tried to solve this case before too?" I questioned.

"Yes, you're right. But no effective results came out." Namjoon said folding his arma in front of his chest.

"What makes your cousin think that he can solve this?"

Namjoon laughed a bit and said, "Yeah, good question. Actually, Jin has a good intuition power. One night he had a dream that he has solved it. He felt like it can be solved this time. And the next day he told his seniors that he wants to take the case. Everyone told him to think twice, but he was too sure about it."

I listened everything attentively. "Hmm..but why did you tell me all this?" I asked.

"You can join us if you want." My face lit up hearing him. I thought for some time if I should say yes or no. Since things were all messed up then, I thought it would be a good way to keep myself busy in something. At least I'll forget the pain for a while. Without thinking much, I answered, "Yes, I'll go."
