"Ezra," Pascal chuckled when his mate nuzzled his neck. "The things I'm gonna do to you..." The King then said, making Ezra smile with a flushed red face, loving the way Pascal talked to him.

The alpha sat at the throne with Ezra on his lap, laughing while his mate was tickling him under his armpits, until a guard came to disturb the two lovers.

"What?" Pascal asked, irritated.

"A lady is outside, my Lord. She wants to speak to the King."

"Well send her away," Pascal said. He had no time for peasants.

"My King...I think you want to hear her out. She...she says she has news about former King Kohl. She says he isn't dead and that he will come for you...and that she's a...witch."

Ten minutes later, Pascal looked into the eyes of a black-haired lady. "Who are you?" he asked her.

"You can call me Eva," The pale woman with the raven black hair said as she looked at the royal couple in front of her.

Pascal couldn't help but to see something in her face that looked so familiar. However, he didn't think he'd ever seen her before. He always had an excellent memory with faces.

"Well, Eva. I heard you have some news for us," he said.

"I have, my Lord," Eva replied.

"Well, then, speak up! What news is it that you have?"

"Your brother, the one you tried to kill, isn't dead." She smiled until a deep dimple appeared on her left cheek.

"And how would you know?" Pascal asked.

"That doesn't matter. All that matters is that I'm here to help you both. You...and your brother. He'ill come for you, once his health is back on track and it would bring me so much sorrow to see you two hurt each other or even murder each other. I want to tell you to give up this throne as it was never yours to take, it's his."

"How dare you, woman?! I am King now! Me!" Pascal shouted, his face turning red from anger. "You know what? I think the hole would be a good place for you. My brother is dead!"

Pascal laughed from slight frustration and anger and shook his head. Why did he agree to see and talk to a lunatic peasant woman in the first place?

He called out for the guards: "Guards, throw her in the hole."

That woman could rot away, for all he cared.

"I've seen it in the future, being a witch, and I tell you that you will die by his hands," Eva said.

"I...I don't like this, Pascal," Ezra whined.

Before the guards took a hold of Eva, Pascal grabbed her by her throat. "My brother is dead! Witch or not, you will pay for your words."

Half choking, she said:

"I want t-to help you...I don't w-want you to d-die. I've seen it in the stars...he will c-c-come. I want to h-help you..."

"You've seen it, huh?" Pascal laughed. "Well then. Prove you are a witch," he thought about how she could and had an idea. "Tell me something about me that only Ezra could know."

He released her throat, making her gasp for air and cough. When she was done coughing, she said: "You have a weird mark on your body, somewhere that is out of sight for other people." Ezra's eyes went wide. "On...your private parts..." Eva added. Now Pascal's eyes went wide. "A birthmark, in the shape of a pine tree."

"How...h-how can you know?" Ezra asked. "Did you fuck her once, Pascal?!"

"No!" Pascal was a hundred percent sure that he never slept with this woman. He didn't even like women.
