Months ago, when Kohl was dumped into the hole as punishment for burying Isoldi's body, he'd come up with a plan.

A plan to kill.

His father and mother would be his victims. One was guilty of physically abusing him, and the other of mentally abusing him.

He couldn't slaughter the King and Queen just like that, so he waited for the right time... And that time was now since his father's position was weak in the eyes of the council of ministers. They hated that the King was stubborn and didn't want to listen to them about the upcoming war.

During a sunny afternoon, Kohl went out for a horseback ride and he made sure that all the people saw him leave. To them, it would look like Kohl would be out all day long, but in secret, the 14-year-old alpha snuck back inside the castle.

He knew his mother took daytime naps, so he hid in her room before she came for one.

When he heard her snoring, he came out of the shadows and wrapped his hands around her neck. It might seem like a weak move, but he needed her death to be silent.

During the strangling, she woke up and looked at him with terrifying eyes that almost popped out of her skull. When a little pang of guilt pained his heart, he thought back about her vicious words, to ease his guilt. She'd always belittled him. "Nobody loves you now and nobody ever will!" That's what he had to hear daily.

When the scratching of the nails against his arms and the choking noises stopped, he unwrapped his hands from her neck and watched her lay dead. He probably will never forget those wide, dead eyes, but the deed was done. He couldn't undo it.

In about an hour, the royal mail shall be delivered and there will be a letter there for his father. One that said that his slut Queen was having an affair with one of his enemies. It was a convincing letter. A letter that young Kohl had written himself. He'd learned to write in this past year. It was hard, but it was all part of his plan.

In a corner of the room, he waited for his father, who stomped inside the room, right on the predicted time, to seek answers from his slut wife.

The king slammed the door shut. However, his wife didn't wake up after his screaming, and answers weren't given, because all he found was a dead woman.

When the man was bowing over his Queen's body, Kohl came from behind and slid the man's throat with one smooth motion. Again, perhaps a weak move, but what other choice did the 14-year-old prince have? He might have been a good fighter these days, but he also wanted to kill his father in complete silence because nobody could find out he did this, or he would face punishment himself. He couldn't just kill or usurp the King without an army standing behind him.

While gasping for breath, his father turned around as his hands tried to stop the bleeding but it was too late. Red blood gushed everywhere.

Kohl needed to make sure he wouldn't step in the blood because he didn't want to clean any red footsteps.

With a smirk, he watched his father struggling like a fish on dry land, squirming on the floor in his own blood.

What a pathetic way to die for a great warlord. Killed by his 14-year-old son.

When the man was dead, Kohl laid the knife close to his father's corpse and put down a letter, written in his father's handwriting, in which the King explained that he'd killed his wife in a blind rage and took his own life because he couldn't live with his crimes.
