"What do you think?"
"It looks better than I could have imagined," Arya looked at the magnificent wooden animal. "And, oh my God, it's so huge!"
Kohl smiled. "Yes, me and 60 men must sit in it together."
Thaksin joined his daughter and son-in-law. "Are you and the men ready? It's almost time to go."
Kohl was already covered with herb pulp. It was made from different herbs and flowers, to neutralize his scent. All the other alphas were covered with it too.
"Arya, I think you must also smear some of this on your neck, so most of your scent is covered," Kohl told her. He didn't want Pascal asking questions about why she still smelled bonded to her alpha.
Whenever a mate left the living world, the person staying behind would go through a mourning process. If this person was happy with his mate's death, the alpha's hormones would slowly leave the omega's body, till, in time, the bond was broken.
If the omega was mourning and heartbroken, the bond would stay with him/her until the omega was ready to let go. It was a biological and beautiful thing.
Because the whole world, including Pascal, knew that Arya hated Kohl when he "died," she should obviously not carry the scent anymore. She might have tricked Leonidas with a weird talk about his body taking longer than usual to cast the scent off, but Pascal might not believe that and become suspicious.
"Do you have a scarf or ribbon or something to bind around your neck?" Kohl asked as he smeared a little of the mixture onto her neck.
"Yeah, I think I have something, or maybe my father will."
They had the finest and most beautiful clothing with them to attend mating day. Arya was pretty sure there would be a pretty ribbon to cover up the stain on both sides of her neck.

Kohl stood on a large and tall rock. He raised his voice, "Men! Soldiers! Fighters! Tonight, you will help me and your Oprelan princess to take back what is ours! I will be forever in your debt for that and will never forget what the men of Oprela's army did for me and my mate!" he raised his voice so loudly, that the veins in his neck popped out. His eyes looked aggressive, like a mad man's.
Arya could see how it affected the other men, and they began to feel that adrenaline rush, just like she felt less scared and more thrilled after watching her husband speak. Kohl really was a true leader.
"We will fight together! And while I can not promise every single one of you will survive, because this will be a fight among the bravest of men, I can promise you that we will know victory in the end!" Kohl screamed and spit flew out of his mouth.
Arya looked at the man, how he stood there, as a real Gearian, a barbarian, and a real beast. And she loved all of it.
"We will give them nothing, but we shall take everything. Cause it is mine and Arya's, and soon when Geara and Oprela will reunite, it will be yours as well!" Kohl raised his sword in the air. "And while Arya and I will rule over both, we shall unite Oprela and Geara, into the greatest nation that man has ever known! Now, let us go and fight!"
The alpha jumped to the ground and two feet landed hard into the sand, whilst more than 60 alpha's together groaned, yelled, and grunted. They were ready for their battle.
The men walked toward the huge horse, ready to climb in, inspired by the words of their leader.
"Kohl!" Arya shouted.
Her alpha turned around and she hastened toward him and fell around his neck, kissing him passionately. She didn't care that her father had to witness such a vulgar and slurpy kiss.
