I hold Bucky's hand while we sit by the fire. His hand is slightly shaking, something that you wouldn't expect from him. Here and there I rub his hand with my thumb to let him know I'm here and everything is going to be ok.

"It is time" Ayo announces

Bucky keeps his eyes locked on the fire, not looking at anyone or anything else

"You sure about this?" Bucky questions, voice shaking slightly.

I pick up his hand and bring it up to my lips, giving him a small kiss on it to reassure him

"I won't let you hurt anyone" Ayo replies

"You're going to be ok Buck. I know it" I cooe.

He pulls away his hand, signaling that he doesn't want to hurt me and wants me out of his reach, but instead, I grab in scooting closer to him. I trust him, nothing is going to happen to me or Bucky, especially with Ayo here controlling this

"Longing" Ayo starts saying the words, walking towards us.

I look at Bucky to see any reaction, any sign that he needs help.

"Rusted"

His eyes start to tear up, jaw clenching, body shaking slightly. I place another kiss to the back of his hand.

"Seventeen"

"It's not gonna work" Bucky says, fighting it back

"Daybreak"

Bucky's breathing gets heavier, tears dripping down from his eyes like a tap that isn't fully shut. He squeezes my hand slightly, trying to keep calm.

"Furnace"

He scrunches his face, keeping focus on the fire. Tears prick at my eyes when I look at him, he's gone through so much. I can't help but feel bad

"Nine"

His head twitches slightly, showing he is having flashbacks, but not enough to take him over

"Benign"

Tears streaming down his face as well as mine. His body shakes as if it's having a small seizure.

"Homecoming"

I rub his hand to let him know he's doing great, no, scrap that, he's doing amazing.

"One"

He lets out a huge breath, as if he has been holding it for a while, in which I'm sure he has

"Fright Car"

His lips tremble, body still shaking, waterfalls streaming down his face, now squeezing my hand so tight it hurts. But I don't care, he is in way more pain that I am in

Ayo finishes the list of words. We both look at him waiting for some sort of reaction.

"You are free" Ayo says, joy lacing her voice softly

I smile widely, he's been through pain over and over again for over 70 years. And now he is free.

Bucky slowly turns his head, he looks at me, then Ayo. He looks at us with hopeful and questioned eyes.

Ayo nods
"You are free" she repeats

Bucky breaks down in tears, so overwhelmed with emotion. I mean, I can't blame him. He looks down crying and I pull his head up to look at me

"Hey, Bucky, look at me. You're free. You hear me? You're free from them." I say with a big smile and tears coming down my face

He breaths a sigh of relief before engulfing me in a hug. I hug back, silently crying on him. While he is sobbing on my shoulder, leaving a big wet spot on my top, but I don't mind.

I pull away and caress his face, smiling.

"You're free"

Holy moley yall. I was sobbing while writing this cause I had to watch the scene again, and that story was just emotional. Every time I watch it, I cry. I mean how could you not? My baby is free, and I'm so happy.
