S1 Chapter 8: Revelation

Y/N woke up and he was riding a horse and someone was in front of him. Y/N was laying his head on the shoulder of the person infront of him.

"What happened...?" Y/N asked

"You're finally awake." Lilith said

"That's right! Where's Eren?!" Y/N asked

"He's on a horse somewhere in the front with your sister and Captain Levi." Lilith said

"Is he alright?" Y/N asked

"He is." Lilith said

"What about Petra?" Y/N asked

"She's okay now and she's also somewhere at the front." Lilith said

"I see..." Y/N said with sadness in his voice

"What's wrong, Y/N?" Lilith asked

"Nothing..." Y/N replied

"Really? I can already feel the sadness in your voice." Lilith said

"Then why'd you ask?" Y/N asked

"What are you thinking, right now?" Lilith asked

"It doesn't matter anymore... Their deaths... were unavoidable..." Y/N said

The Survey Corps finally returned back to Karanese District and the people were looking at them.

"Aren't a bunch of them are missing compared to this morning?"

"Man..."

"Far fewer..."

"How horrible."

"Just this morning they left to raise hell, but now they're back already? What was the point?"

"Who knows? But judging their gloomy expressions, they managed to gobble up more of our taxes, if nothing else."

Eren walked towards the man, but Mikasa grabbed his hand, stopping him.

"Calm down, Eren. Just bear with it." Mikasa said

Eren's expression change from an angry one to a sad one when he saw the two children from earlier smiling.

"So cool! The Survey Corps are so amazing! They get their butts kicked, but they still keep fighting!" The boy said

Y/N was walking beside his horse and Lilith with a depressed aura around the both of them and the other members of the Survey Corps.

"What'll happen to Eren? I've failed again. How am I going to face him and his parents in the afterlife?" Y/N questioned himself and his fists were trembling

"I'm weak... They keep calling me someone on the same level as Captain Levi, but they haven't seen my failures in life yet." Y/N said in his thoughts while trembling

"Petra!" Petra's Father went to her

"Dad!" Petra saw him

"Must be nice to see your parent again..." Y/N said

"Commander Erwin! Answer us!"

"Did your expedition learn anything worthwhile that can justify the body count?!"

"Do you believe the dead left with no regrets?!"

"Damn it... I've failed a thousand times in life already, but I never fell this low..." Y/N said in his thoughts
