S4P2 Chapter 41: Two Sides Against One Common Enemy

Y/N was walking with Mikasa to the top of the fort after seeing Armin and Gabi chase after Connie who was planning to feed Falco to his mother.

Y/N and Mikasa heard a gunshot and they hurriedly went upstairs. When they arrived, they saw a body of a dead Marleyan Volunteer shot on the head.

"Hey, what's happening here?" Y/N asked

Jean who was kneeling on the floor, terrified of what he saw looks at Y/N and Mikasa.

Floch knelt infront of Jean whilethe Jaegerists take the Marleyan Volunteers away.

"I am Eren's representative. If Eren solves all the problems outside the Island, I can also eradicate the hate inside the Island. Anyways, we survived that hell four years ago and we finally got this in our hands." Floch said

"Do you understand what I'm saying?" Floch asked

"We're free! You no longer have to fight! You can live the way you want! Right, Jean? Didn't you say you wanted to live a comfortable life as military officer? Do it! You're a hero!" Floch smiled

"... Is it... over?" Jean asked

"It's over. That's why you should go back to being your old self. To the arrogant bastard you are." Floch said

"What did... you just say...?" Jean asked

"Floch." Y/N called him

"What's wrong, Captain Y/N?" Floch asked, standing up

"Levi and Hange. Where are they?" Y/N asked

"It's a shame, but Zeke killed them." Floch said, shocking the three

Y/N was laying on a bed, listening to the quite faint sounds of the tremors caused by the Wall Titans walking.

"I was hoping I could quit being a soldier to stay with a certain someone until we both die, but that bastard Eren gave me another blockade. I just wanted to continue taking care of children... I wish I could live in the mountains again like when Mom and Dad were alive... those peaceful times... Petra, if you were still alive, would you have gone to fight against or with Eren rather than live peacefully in the mountains with me? I don't know what I should do... Damn it..." Y/N said in his thoughts while staring at the ceiling

"Captain Y/N." Jean went inside the room since the room wasn't private nor only for Y/N

"What's wrong?" Y/N asked sitting on his bed

"Commander Hange. She's alive and she's calling us both and Mikasa. Mikasa went first already." Jean said

"I see." Y/N stood up

Y/N and Jean went outside and met up with Hange and Mikasa.

"Glad the both of you could join us." Hange said

Hange brought the three of them to a house and she sat on one of the chairs.

"How's Levi?" Y/N asked

"Levi is... not fine, but he's not dead. He won't be able to fight for a while, though." Hange said

"That's great." Y/N said

"Also, we've joined forces with remaining Marleyan Forces including the Cart Titan." Hange said

"What?!" Y/N's eyes widen

"This is to stop Eren. We shouldn't be slaughtering everyone." Hange said

"How are you going to stop him?" Mikasa asked
