A year later...

The Scouts has finally killed every single Titan in the island and they were planning for their first expedition outside the Walls. Refugees returned to their hometown, roughly a year after the attack on Trost District. After a week of planning, the Scouts once again did an expedition outside Wall Maria for the first time in six years.

"It's just like you said, Hange. The Titans inside Wall Maria were pretty much all of them. We thinned out the majority of them in a single year." Levi said

"In that case, let's head straight to our target as planned." Hange said

After a few hours of riding their horses, they saw a red smoke signal, meaning they saw a Titan.

"A Titan!" Marco said

"One showed up, huh? Be careful!" Connie said

They arrived to where the smoke signal was from and they saw A Titan, that had small limbs, unabling him to move fast. The Titan was crawling slowly, that no one would notice it if they hadn't seen the trail the Titan left.

"This Titan tried crawling to the Wall little by little... with a body like that?" Y/N asked seeing small trees grow from the trail

Eren walks towards the Titan and puts his hand on it.

"H-Hey!" Floch called him

"It was shipped to Paradis. It's a fellow patriot." Eren said

"Let's go. We're close." Eren said and they continued their expedition

"Hey! Is it okay to leave him here?! Shouldn't we kill it?!" Floch asked

"Leave him be, Floch." Y/N said and he left Floch and followed after the others

"Yes, sir!" Floch said and followed after Y/N

They arrived to an area where there was mountains of sands.

"This is... sandy snowfields...?" Y/N asked

When they turned to a corner, they saw a Wall.

"I'm sure of it. This is the place where Eldians were turned into Titans. And... beyond that..." Eren paused

They got on top of a sand mountain where they reached a cliff and saw an enormous body of water.

"Is the sea." Eren said

Every single Scout had amazed looks on their faces except Eren.

They got off their horses, removed their maneuvering gear along with their capes and jackets and started walking on the shore.

"Hey!" Connie splashed salt water on Sasha

"My eyes!" Sasha shouted

Jean tries to drink the salt water and he shouts.

"Damn, it's salty!" Jean shouted

"Is this all saltwater?" Marco asked

"What's this...?" Y/N asked, curiously trying to pick up an orange animal with pincers

"Hey, don't touch that it could be poisonous." Levi scolded Y/N

Y/N ignored Levi and he finally caught the orange animal with pincers.

"Amazing... there's more things beyond the Walls..." Y/N said

The crab suddenly uses it's pincers and pinches Y/N's finger.

"Ah. IT HURTS!" Y/N shouted

"What's wrong, Y/N?!" Hange asked

"Hange-san! This thing suddenly bit me!" Y/N said, trying to remove the crab that was on his finger

"I'll pull it off!" Hange shouted

"NO! YOU'LL PULL MY FINGER OFF ALONG WITH THIS THING!" Y/N shouted

Y/N and Hange panicked, trying to open the pincers of the crab to free Y/N's finger while Armin picked up something from the water.

"Eek!" Armin heard Mikasa squeal

Armin looks at Mikasa and Mikasa embarassingly smiles. Armin smiles back at Mikasa and looks at Eren.

"Look! I told you, Eren! A salt lake so big merchants could spend their whole lives and still not getting all the salt. The stuff I talked about wasn't wrong after all!" Armin said

"Yeah... It's so damn big..." Eren said

"Mm." Armin replied

"Look! Eren! On the other side of the Wall-" Armin was cut off by Eren

"There's a sea. On the other side of the sea... is freedom. That's what I always believed, but I was wrong... On the other side of the sea... are enemies. Every part of this is exactly how I saw Dad's memories." Eren said

Eren raised his hand and pointed at the horizon. The crab on Y/N's finger let go of it and buried itself under the sand while Eren, Hange, and Levi looked at Eren.

"Hey... if we kill all our enemies... over there... will we finally... be free?" Eren asked
